Its a set and Veta vfx galore for sure. Grown ups acting like kids is dumb and annoying, gotta see where it goes story wise, so far little structure to hold it up. Nevertheless Im happy that it got made.
It's ok if you take style over substance and not think deep into the show because it's fuck tone of logic lapsuses. If I were to overanalyze this I would say it's stupid as fuck.
After seeing how all my favourite franchises go down in flames I think I don't care anymore. There's no canon in this franchise anymore just grab popcorn and enjoy.

Drinker summarized where I stand with this show quite nicely. Will wait for all episodes to be out and see what the verdict is then. It started strong and intriguing, but I don't like where they are going with it.
Two episodes in and my experience with the show can already be summed up with:
Aside from the questionable action, uneven tone, daft dialogues and lack of logic (a requirement at this point), I echo what others have said regarding the premise of having adult supersynthero protagonists with brains imported from kids. That absolutely takes me out of the cinematography and makes me want to skip quite a few scenes, which is a capital sin for something that's supposed to be thrilling/atmospheric. Not that I had any hope left when it comes to TV and movies based on the Alien franchise, but still.

The concept is terrible. Disney facilities should be burned to the ground. And what is this racial correctness crap all over the place ? The Nostromo crew were all whites except Dennis Parker, the Chief Engineer. Nobody complained about the crew back then. Now we see, asians, blacks, whites, yellow, red, brown... Terrible men, terrible.

that part was the least annoying cause elites do tend to act like that sometimes lol
that one chick asking to be let in to the nostromo command center with the black "robot" , who needed oxygen for some reason .... . she showed like no actual fear. like it was a casual "let me inside please for a cup of coffee"
