I didn't play it but, as a Battlefield Expert Veteran®, I can confirm all the up above* (previous page) only from the shite I've seen in the video presentations.
Expecting soon "A Return To Form" reviews from IGN & the other Co.(rupted media Companies).
The question is:
Instead of playing NOTHING, will the people (ourselves included) accept it as a compromise?!
They tuned down a few things from BF2042 and people ate up instantly, gotta love marketing.
We don't have much competition on that market...
There used so many FPS games. There was Delta, Medal of Honor...
So any new FPS release with big battles will get warm a welcome becouse... well... it was released and just is....

Hey dont be so hard the little console eunuchs, they need time to aim their lil vibratin thumbstick.
I'm not that gifted either in FPS games. The trick with Battlefield though is just to get cheap kills. My problem is that I ussualy get bored camping and storm the enemy regardless, resulting in a heroic death .
Played the beta out of curiosity (had to dust off that long-forgotten unused Twitch account), I'd say it sits on the not great not terrible Dyatlov scale. Mostly hassle-free, but with an extra (annoying) layer of snappy tweaks from Temu, the palette straight from the brown era of gaming and a general vibe designed to accommodate modern peepZ.
The focus on wild destruction is always a plus - still, overall, it definitely doesn't feel like there's a 14-year difference between this game and BF3. The typical back to the roots™ (but not really) project out of desperation after everything else failed, as they couldn't afford another colossal blunder.
That's the funny thing about all of this, 2042 = bad, but this is better? It makes no sense
IMO, the confusion arises mostly from the assertions that "2042 is more BF than 6" or that "6 is just a reskinned 2042", etc.
People can like or dislike this new game, find it enjoyable or not, that's fair enough, and there's some valid concerns mentioned in these last few posts (e.g: too many gadgets for classes, the ability to shoot while jumping, sliding or going from prone/crouch to standing and viceversa which needs to be removed, etc.), but the reason this game is having so much positive feedback is that it's reversing and staying away from nearly all the stupid decisions that were taken with the previous 2 titles in the series, especially with 2042, for which there's pretty much general consensus that it's the worst title in the series.
Also, regarding the size of maps, remember this is a Beta, with a very reduced set of maps, and there's already at least 3 much bigger maps confirmed, reminiscent of the classical BF gameplay, with ample spaces and lots of vehicles, but surely much better done than the abomination they tried (and miserably failed) with 2042 and the 64v64 thing.
That been said, there's still time until release for DICE to fix the mentioned easily solvable issues, but of course also enough time to completely fuck it up, and that's why I'm not pre-ordering until right before release even though right now I'm having a great time playing this Beta and I do think, like many other BF veterans, that they're doing a lot of things right with this one and that "BF is back", or at least as "back" as the modern times allow it for a game to be financially successful.

Aren't the ones you listed part of the stupid decisions? Every gunfight is a dance in this game, if you don't move left right while shooting or prone quickly, you are immediately dead. Tell me what big FPS franchise has this as a signature part of its gameplay?

The answer to that last question is very obvious: COD (but I think that was your point).
And yes, of course they're stupid decisions, which are already getting lots of negative feedback, not only here, but from BF veterans everywhere and even from major "content creators" (I recommend watching Enders), most of which still think (like I do) that BF6 is major step back in the right direction after the "detour" taken in the last decade or so.
I've seen content creators everywhere ass-kissing this garbage.
I'm sure there are many of those, and maybe you should watch different ones (still up to you, of course). The feedback from content creators is generally favorable, deservedly so IMO for the reasons I've already mentioned, but many of them still point out these issues we've been discussing. Also, several of them have agreed that even though some of the commented issues don't bother them (e.g: open weapon classes, and I'm in that group), that the devs should acknowledge what the majority of the BF community is asking for and give it to then.
tried it too and dont like it, very disappointed, it looks good, plays very smooth, but maps feel very small, bf used to feel large scale warfare but idk, looks like its more tight but vehicles dont have much room to move. combined with fast ttk it feels more like cods version of bf
seems more of a 2042 baseline with bf4 skin than bf4 gameplay
Signature/Avatar nuking: none (can be changed in your profile)
