I have all these youtube fags that act like gaming news is WW3 level end of the world drama blocked on my feed.

While I agree with the sentiment, they are not telling you what you can Watch, Read, or Play.
They are telling you what they will pay for when you use them to pay for something.
I'm not for or against it. As I think you should be able to watch whatever you want, but also no one should be forced to be middle man in things they do not want to be. (They are technically buying it for you, until you pay them back on the credit card).
They did the same thing to civit. I just went "Cool by me, you don't earn a slice of profit on my sub there anymore since you won't let me use you"

Ok, so how do you give companies money without these payment processors? I think you fail to grasp the power they have and how they're now utilizing it. Today it's porn. Tomorrow it's drugs, the day after that it's violence.
Debit card locally (non visa based BOA one); paypal, zelle (tied to my bank account), Google/Samsung Pay online.
Maybe I live differently than most people.
I got 2 credit cards, one for me and wife, we never use them other than emergencies. The one Visa, the other Mastercard.
I dunno the last time I paid for anything with a thing with either. I use my phones google pay for anyplace that will let me tap my phone. Online I dont even have any cards with visa or MC logo used as a payment anywhere. And I pay EVERYTHING online: My bills, my subs, buy shit.
Perfectly possible to do online without direct usage of any CC company.
And you don't think, simply because I disagree, I don't know the power they have globally by means of the vast and ever present tap to pay with their logos all over them? That somehow I live in the world and 'fail to grasp' thier reach?

They are though since they're a monopoly and they can strong-arm most if not all stores from removing whatever they want. They aren't easily replaced. Also, it's not them paying, it's your money, they are just facilitating a transaction.
