I was hyped until i read its a stressful game with a timer. I dont get why these mongoloid developers keep doing it. People dont like it.
u will complain literally about anything, every review says on normal the timer is non issue which was point even as a fault cuz theres no felt tensions or pressure to deal with the timer, some reviewers even suggested playing on hard if u played that studio previous games like frostpunk. ure just a grown up crybaby boi, bubu gugu game has timer, too hard.
I don’t like timers either but it hasn’t put me off the game so far.
In the prologue you have so many days to escape the sun but it’s pretty generous. I’m sure later it will be return and be more panic inducing lol.
There is an hourly timer every day as you have to manage work, a bit like real life and the game encourages you to sleep to avoid exhaustion which affects the speed you work, also a bit like real life lol.
It seems to be the unique combination of genres that make it feel so refreshing to play
Yeah, I'm gonna give it a go as well. The timer initially put me off, but apparently it's pretty lenient and more of an incentive to keep things moving.
There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.
Truly gone fishing.

The amount of dimwitted people on this forum just trolling and talking shit is unbelievable. No wonder this forum is dying
You are probably responsible for this more than most. Every 2nd post you are crying about gay people and leftists. What a great conversation to keep engaged a cozy forum mostly about gaming and nerdy stuff.
After minor tribulations with Rapidium-induced micro-management I've played through Jan's journey inside his spinning wheel and despite some limitations, the bumpy ride was more enjoyable than I thought
The game is a mix of (basic) survival elements with a heavily story-driven backbone and social-oriented C&C for good measure, all wrapped around a timer-based system. Although that sounds finicky on paper, the experience would lose much of its appeal without the sense of urgency that comes with dealing with day/night cycles, sneaky radiation, magnetic storms, and so on. Playing on Standard doesn't actually require any pesky trial & error - it's always possible to get enough resources at any time (even after the events at the end of Act II) by upgrading the ship/suit and researching the good stuff using planetary samples.
Being a console title the gameplay doesn't offer a lot of depth; however, there's a tangible sci-fi atmosphere in it with competent writing, interesting twists with all the different Alters displaying unique behaviours (from pragmatic to emo to..proper cunt ), and a moody OST to complete the circle. Luckily, I didn't encounter any performance issues or major bugs. This is a fairly original concept that just works(tm) as long as one keeps the expectations in check, with more charm than most tripe-A productions combined. Seven pierogi and one sheep /10
It was pretty damn good. The plot was great, the writing holds from start to finish and many choices do matter.
My complaints are rather minor. The performance is not exactly great and the fact that time flows the same in the base can force you to skip on the interactions between alters. A bit more gameplay depth wouldn't have hurt as even on the highest difficulty most things are manageable if you don't play dumb.
I recommend this, the timer is not much of a problem if you don't repeatedly screw up.

Think you got to take a deep look in the mirror, the only dick right now is you
Spoiler:
I'll speak out on woke even if it makes your blood vessels pop, so don't you worry about that

typical clownish reaction, zero arguments. ive literally told you how it looks with that mechanic youre crying about, other people wrote the same, and ure talking about trolling/talking shit. oh boy, and u have audacity to call anywone dimwitted. silly boi.
Been playing it some more, still in act 1 though. The main issue I have with this game is that you can fuck yourself over and you only realise it (many) hours later.
I didn't really have this when playing This War of Mine or Frostpunk, the downward spiral was pretty clear in those games, but here you have 30 days per act of 'free play'.
I installed this mod that makes time go slower so that I can spend of bit more time with the alters and enjoying the scenery, so at least it's a lot less hectic.
(it doesn't speed up mining or research, so it doesn't break the game)
Finished it yesterday, it was fun but it also outstayed its welcome near the end. Indeed, once you have enough alters and have the base rolling, it gets pretty straightforward.
The game is also very good at gaslighting you everything is going shit, while its not
In the end, I liked it, but with certain key moments/decisions always having the exact same result (if you choose A, these alters will leave your base, if you choose B, these will) it loses much of its appeal in terms of freedom of choice and replayability.
