This modern context menu was the main reason for me to disable my TPM and reverting back to Windows 10.
The seconds issue is not beeing able to expand/ungroup windows in the taskbar.
The third and for me as photographer and model most important reason are the missing folder previews.
I'll stay stucked on Win 10 till there are working workarounds. Replacing the shell by third party is not really a workaround.
wow windows for retards, I'm staying on win10, I need win for work.
Same my work laptop is windows 11. Nearly every change in it is the opposite of what I need for work or clarity of what is running, closed, or multiple instances of it running at a glance.
And ease of use seems aimed at casual home users, which is fine. But not when it's to the detriment of someone that is not.
Luckily I only need my laptop to run VM's. And can VMWorkstation into them from my desktop which is still windows 10.
Windows 11 seems to me to follow MS's flip/flop pattern. One OS I flip to, the next is a flop.
XP,Vista,7,8,10,11 (flip, flop, flip, flop, flip, flop)
In case you didn't spend much time on your Windows 11 security, I would advise you to check my latest video regarding gaming PC security. Usually these consultations have quite big price in business world but I wanted to help the community and share them for free.
The video focuses on hardening Microsoft (Windows) Defender, limiting user access, blocking unknown malware etc.

..one of the best features in Windows 11 (yes, sarcasm):
You're looking to do something (being in its actual interface), maybe change the background image, and you know you're around the right place to do this. Windows gives you """help""" with a way to click "How to change background" and it fucking googles it for you, instead of just taking you to this setting

Next time you need to reinstall windows, move the users folders and such to another drive. So when you format you keep everything (unless you format that other drive too).
How I got my wife and kids machines setup, so if they fuck up windows reinstalling doesn't lose much. Only thing on C drive is the files windows needs to run windows.

Restore points?
They do, and it's in 10 at least (Don't know if 11 does, only place I have 11 is work laptop because I have to). But it kinda sucks.
I rarely have had success with it, and that friend of mine that runs a PC store doesn't even use it or recommend it. To save a install he said its easier to just fix what's wrong if you take the time, than try restore and then having to fix what it broke, and the thing that was wrong to start with.
I don't even have it enabled on any computer in my room (my pc, my personal laptop, my old PC turned NAS, and VM server box)

Yeah, I already restored it (close). Got some backup and main folder on D:\, ofc only C:\ gets recked. Also windows creates windows.old so my Documents, Downloads and Desktop all get saved, handy.
And all my documents are online on google docs, and even Stylus has a login option were all your styles are synced. Same for Chrome bookmarks and extensions.
one thing i absolutely hate with recent Windows is i can't, for some reason, play short sounds. one of my main interests that i work with daily, e.g drum sounds (i make music), short sounds for games.
the only way to get sound from a short sound is to loop the sound in soundforge, then after it has played maybe 3 times it will sound. using VLC or whatever, nah, forget it, even if looped it wont be played.
I have two soundcards, a more expensive Tascam that i use for music and the usual garbage that sits on the motherboard, realtek. neither can play short sounds. and no, its not the speakers instantly going to sleep if there wasnt a sound for 0.1s. changing latency for the cards seems to not have any effect.
This was never an issue with windows earlier than windows 10.
