Grittier tone, firearms, fewer cringe-y sidekicks 'n Ubisoftisms (hopefully) - it doesn't sound too shabby on paper. If anything, it's closer to the first Dying Light, which is positive.
Apparently The Beast was meant to be 2nd DLC for Dying Light 2 but has evolved into a standalone game. It’s also free if you purchased the Dying Light 2; Ultimate Edition. Unfortunately I bought Dying Light 2: Deluxe Edition :/
Dying Light: The Beast is a full standalone adventure that started life as DLC2. As such, it will be available to all owners of Dying Light 2 Stay Human Ultimate Edition at no extra cost.

Techland said in a statement on the delay: "It has always been our goal to make Dying Light: The Beast the best Dying Light game we’ve ever released. To honor this promise, we’ve made the decision to move the release date to September 19, 2025 to allow for extra polishing work.
Signature/Avatar nuking: none (can be changed in your profile)
