They need to keep the marketing / burning flame of the Cyberpunk franchise ALIVE, but through CP 2077, since they show and talk NOTHING about the sequel.
Like the previous update, it seems rather cocky or self-absorbed to have a roundtable about some fucking additions to photo mode.
There are devs who makes patches which adds thousands of fixes and additions, yet they dont gather around a table or even try to hype it up before its released. That's what people are pissed about. if you have something super, super substantial, sure, i can see the point in it.
Release it with no hype, people would be fine with it.
- add more lines (voices) to the NPCs when talking to them
- add some unique NPCs
- add unique encounters
- add more hookers
- add more minigames
- add more dynamic events
- add the ability to pick up items and move them around like in Morrowind (100 years ago technology)
Also:
- copy the fucking mods from Nexus and include something NEW
- sit anywhere
- drink / smoke / eat animations
- inspect weapons anytime
- lower the weapon
- more sex
- more upgrades
- more survival mechanics
- more anything...
When there's so much they could do and then the reveal is always "photomode!" and "we added new cars" is kind of infuriating. especially when the game has a super creative modding scene with people adding stuff which are 10x more interesting than anything that comes in these patches which for some reason are hyped up.
Been doing very little with gaming lately, backlog mostly either replaying older games or catching up on stuff I bought years ago, and a few older titles through Lets Play videos when it wasn't feasible to play through them myself.
But it is nice to see this game still being supported and receiving major updates and improvements to existing features. Apparently Witcher 3 is also set to receive another patch later this year, that is how it should be, love this sort of extended support although it is quite rare.
CD Project, Techland, Deck13 and the No Mans Sky developer studio. I can't think of any others but there's bound to be at least a few more.
Now getting back and re-playing the game again is a whole different challenge, one day perhaps. Still the DLC part to discover and the base game wasn't really bad, just a bit rough when it launched.
