When I read about that a few days ago they said it might actually help the show with Disney involved since it means they will have bigger budgets for the episodes now. But it will still be a few years before we even get to that point since their influence would probably start with the Ncuti Gatwa episodes since I think the already filmed the new Tennant specials.
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

After seeing first few minutes from that 60 Anniversary special introducing Donna's "beautiful daughter", I'm out. I barely tolerated Jodie Whittaker/ Chris Chibnall run, but now they went absolutely crazy with The Message, the show has become utterly unbearable and unwatchable.
Even the BBC reviewer slams the special and channels the Drinker
Quote:
And although the show has always been progressive – look at the number of stories over the decades about, for example, threats to the environment – this special is preachy, and by the end, little more than a delivery system for The Message.
Episode 1 - terrible
Episode 2 - was okay but the musical stuff was meh
Episode 3 - intense fast-paced good episode
Ncuti is very good and finally setting in the doctor role. Ruby feels like Clara 2.0.

A lot of butt hurt with that 2nd episode drag character. Critical derper and co. are having a feast. But instead of critic they are just plain transphobic.

Episode 4 was among the weirdest episodes of DW. Other than the political angle (felt out of place) and lack of answers it was a good episode. Very different from the usual DW stuff.

They're not even raping a corpse at this point, the corpse fell apart years ago and now they keep stitching together the decomposed parts but after every raping the meat gets softer and soon they will just have to stick it into some dense cadaver soup.
