i rather save that money and invest them in the hardware every once in a while, which also got stupidly expensive, if i had to pay for both i would probably find another hobby

i got a friend that does this a lot, one that used to lecture me about piracy.. and he's sitting there buying up all the grey market trash today using VPNs and using other weird hoops to save a buck

Games are expensive for the average person these days, I can buy a LOT of actual useful shit for $70-80. Let alone whatever those retard editions cost.
I'm pretty sure multi gazillion bazillion dollar global corporations will be just fine without my peanuts so I have 0 guilt about that. You can only make this argument for small indie dev games but those guys usually region price their games accordingly as well so they do deserve money and it goes to the fellow working man.
The only company that manages to rob me is Rockstar but how often do they release a game and who can even come remotely close to their standards of quality.
