I must confess that only now I've actually seen the video and, uh, "not tested and might have a few bugs" he says?
Also "leave info of the bugs you find in the comments, and I'll look into it IF I am MOTIVATED"?!
Bruh...

Indeed, the sheer dedication and love that fans have for certain games can be unparalleled, no official corporate entity can match that. Even with obvious budgetary (and technical) constraints, it's impressive to see all the fine-tuned mechanics made by talented folks, the attention to detail and the immersive additions that something like Anomaly + modpacks can deliver. Just like Skyrim with its plaethora of meaty mods that can radically alter/enhance the original experience, the original Assetto Corsa with its thousands of plugins + extra content, and so on.
It's a shame that companies keep ignoring such valuable outputs and so frequently go for the easy low-effort route, releasing barebones/half-arsed products inferior to the previous iterations (like the Stalker v0.2 was, the recent Assetto Corsa "EVO", and dozens of other similar cases) or plain pieces of s...oftware (looking at you, Starfield!). And that's without counting the many unredeemable members of the apurplecalypse that modders don't want to touch with a barge pole.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy Enhanced Edition will be available May 20, 2025 on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC on GOG, Epic Games Store, and Steam.
All owners of the game will receive a separate edition of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy Enhanced Edition in their Steam and GOG libraries, which will be available for download immediately. If you do not have the complete collection, you will receive the updated version only for the games you have in your library. If you don't have any classic S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games in your library and if you want to buy the games or the collection, you'll get the classic three games for free when you purchase S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy Enhanced Edition.
Edit:
It seems there are actual improvements as well (on paper)
Quote:
- Atmospheric visual enhancements including God Rays, Dynamic Screen Space Reflections, and Advanced Global Illumination effects.
- Redesigned water shaders, upgraded skyboxes, and wetness effects.
- Improved visuals with upscaled textures featuring more detailed NPCs and environment.
- Upgraded weapon Field of View and models.
- Multiple bugfixes and quality of life tweaks.
- Full gamepad support.
My only hope is that GAMMA can be converted to work with this as I am sure the stability will be much better with the Enhanced Edition, the original has huge issues when it comes to optimization.
Looks better than Stalker 2?
I’ve seen plenty of comments of people saying it doesn’t look ‘enhanced’ and it looks the same as the original. It’s got ‘remastered’ in the title but I guess expectations vary
As a game? Yes, much better. I'm getting excited for this. I look at STALKER2 and feel nothing. I doubt it will ever be at the level of the first game. Anything they improve out of the box is an improvement on the original janky releases. They run like ass without mods/overhauls.

Those people are retarded.

if they can get some of those overhauls that has taken like 10 years to make can work with it i'll absolutely give it a shot, i have no real interest in playing original stalker again i think.. of course new mods might emerge so maybe in 3-4 years otherwise..
the industry still doing upscaling for remasters is a shame imo. it's so outdated by now. i'm sure they'll adapt to what's the best method now in like 5 years
(new) Story focused mod, only EP0 out right now. Pretty good IMO, was around 3-4 hours but it has a bit of running around AYUND it's a bit of a walking simulator, at least 50% of the combat is you going out of your way to kill some mutants...
For some forsaken reason it's locked behind a discord... or not:
