It's been said many times that the reason for loading screens and load times between various indoor and outdoor spaces is that they are treated as separate worldspaces – otherwise, no rig would be able to handle the workload the game requires. So, this is definitely NOT gonna change.
I have the game installed on an m2 SSD, and the load times are like 2-3 seconds each time, it's no biggie, really.
Leaving a house for outdoors often take more than 2-3 seconds on my nvme ssd. It varies and I guess it depends on CPU performance since it has to unpack data/textures on-the-fly.
Playing Gothic 3 was so nice, no load screens ever, not for houses, caves - anything, everything is instant, just makes the world so much more immersive too since a monster or animal can follow you anywhere. the load times aren't the main issue imo...
All the old bugs are here but I do like the revised leveling system that was added in, they tweaked a couple of things with the game instead of just the visual overhaul but unfortunately the bug fixing was not part of this overhaul.
Leveling up is possible with all skills now instead of just the major ones, which does make leveling much faster as well, but I think the game caps out a bit after level 20 and the final change comes at level 27 when liches are introduced to the enemy spawn list.
Bit higher for the Shivering Isles in getting the last tiers of equipment and leveled rewards.
But due to aforementioned bugs some of these Shivering Isles rewards capped to where the player level was when the expansion got installed.
(Which means level 1 here.)
It is actually possible to level so fast now that you overshoot some of the changes and armor or weapon tiers, mid-game mithril armor in particular before it swaps for elven.
Animation changes are also a neat touch I especially like the dagger animations now but it seems to really hampers the two-handed weapons usage.
The more light-hearted humorous writing and NPC dialogue holds up, repeat banter aside.
But the performance, not sure if unfucking the stuttering is possible as that is a real drag on the enjoyment of the game here.
Whatever code is part of the original data here might just need a major overhaul instead of running through Unreal Engine 5 with prettier graphics.
XBox version has a patch that helps the framerarte drops now but the stutters are just a constant, especially with higher traversal speeds and more stuff loading into the game world.
That and the presence of the old bugs are the two main drawbacks, hopefully further patches will help but I'm not sure if the classic bugs will be sorted out or not, HDR support would be a nice addition but the PC version can already be either ini-tweak edited or mod assisted to resolve that omission.
Same old Daggerfall workaround though, save often and keep a few slots for manual save backups just in case. Isles are more bug-prone for actual progression blockers than the main game too, not entirely sure on the Knights of the Nine.
As for the other DLC it seems the way they activate now is tied to asking for rumors, or if players know the location they can just travel there directly, nice bit of integration over a lot of immediate quest pop-up notifications or an endless stream of couriers and letters as with the Anniversary edition of Skyrim which is a whole mess if players upgrade to the new content.
Maybe fix the Khajiit being stuck with a permanent beard too, I can take Argonians looking like working-class dinosaurs (Some old TV series in the 1990's) and the humanoid and elves are actually pleasant to look at now so that is a huge improvement.
The original face-gen tech really didn't age well, Fallout 3 at least did a decent attempt at improving it.

I love the setting and the atmosphere but the 'one playthrough fits all' style combined with the scaling and leveled items and such makes this too boring for me. I know there's mods, but only truly hand-placed items would fix this for me. I hate being able to finish the game at level 3.
Responsive Combat AI - Enhances combat AI to introduce more engaging fights with more challenging foes by decreasing idle times and increasing dodge and attack chances.
I'm gonna say that this mod—and these types of mods—I've always thought they did nothing, and I didn’t want to test them because I couldn’t imagine them doing anything… but after testing them A/B… it runs the same.
I've always wondered that too. The placebo effect of such mods is strong.
who the hell doesn't use a FPS counter to check fps before / after, otherwise it's uninteresting to mod for FPS, obviously you can't see if it maybe made it 5 FPS better or 5 FPS worse..
I think a lot of times these mods just resets something and it'll work because of that.. i remember for NMS i deleted my folder with the .ini's and i got like a 30 FPS boost, so an insane boost, even though i ended up using the same settings (highest possible).
