Watched first ep.
Not my cup of tea. Too silly. Too MCU. Just rated R. :/
One joke landed for me. But because I haven't heard Fag used in a derogatory way in a show for the longest time. There's 2 more EPs. Can't really be bothered.
Only good thing out of this right now is James Gunn is back to his Troma days of writing sprinkled in some MCU trash. Which is nice. If gotg is his last marvel flick, I'm excited for what he'll do next. If not I'm worried he'll lose his edgy writing style. Suicide squad was more MCU, and this more classic James Gunn, but still not classic classic. I'll binge it when it's all done.
its not just another superhero show out of many, but its just another meh show nothing different than the rest. very few of them really stand out. just because its a superhero show dosent mean it has to be meh
I liked the first three episodes. It's more in vain of Mark Millar's era Kick-Ass / Kingsmen or rather Gunn's Super anti-hero shit. If I had to say what puts me off is Chukwudi Iwuji because everytime he is on the screen I wonder is his character a man or a female. He just balances on that thin border of genderlessness
If you liked Gunn's SS you will probably enjoy this. It knows it's about stupid characters, a comic book and embraces it.

I will say this. First three EPs are the weakest. Once the story opens up, you get to enjoy the characters. First three EPs are just cringe for the sake of being edgy. But it's Disney edgy not old gunn edgy. Same with his suicide squad. It gets better the more the runtime moves. But it's just weak in the beginning. Hopefully s02 won't have the drain the first 3 EPs did.
He directed another one later in the show. It was decent.
It wasn't his directing. His writing was more edgy and hair metal rather than what he usually does. Once he got that out of his system the show improved. Episode 8 is downloading. Gonna watch it soon.
last one is also by him, its like the boba fett with rodriguezzzzz and the edgy turned to 11 that turnes to cringe. rest of the episodes have like a good balance.
lmao at the cameo at the end, like wtf. fucking hilarious that he twitted something big will happen now its fucking trending how bad it was ahahaha.
Its been so long I pretty much forgot this show ever existed. Is Hollywood doing the British thing of one season every 5 years now?
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.
