No surprise there. Even with Denuvo these games have a record of running extremely well anyways.
I’m not too sold on this one yet if it’s going down the Doom Eternal path where everything is so “game-ified” that you have to use certain things on certain enemies and having to constantly piñata enemies for ammo. It’s kind of outworn its welcome for me. Plus I quite enjoyed 2016’s mostly “show, dont tell” storytelling compared to the later entry.
Hmmm is anything wrong with the game?
On Eurosocjus they had it reviewed by the bri'ish turbo soycuck that gives 5/5's left and right and he gave this a 4/5.
Last time I witnessed something as fishy was the same guy reviewing that Redfall catastrophe so that could at least get a 3/5...

I see they doubled down on this pinata gameplay. Now even enemies are shooting massive orbs at you. And who's stupid idea were mecha sections? It's sad to say, but I have zero interest in an ID game. Bethesda truly destroyed this company in a way not even EA ever managed to. Instead of just underfeeding it, and leaving it for dead, they managed to extract every ounce of soul out of it.
The criticism towards the addition of slow-mo bullet hell mechanics or the overreliance on Dad o' War-ian shields shouldn't be dismissed so quickly -- it's something that deviates quite a bit from the original formula and is not everyone's cup of tea, regardless of its quality/fun factor. I do share that sentiment as well, as my dream modern Doom would essentially be in the vein of 2016 but with improved/more complex level design and a different (old-school-like) way of replenishing ammo + health management. They were this close...but alas.
Apparently the renderer is buggy and really mess with nvidia performance.

Update: The latest Nvidia driver (576.40) didn’t improve performance beyond what we’re showing here, at most we saw a 2-3% uplift. I asked Nvidia directly what kind of performance gains we can expect with this new driver and they were unable to tell us.
so u are telling me programmers cant detect how much vram a card has and still allows a game to use more and tank the fps huh .... suuuuure .... nothing to do with nvidia n amd brbing them to not fix that and it cant just automaticly pick a lower texture size to avoid drops and not use that extra 2 gigs it needs ....
absolute balony
no words how retarded that is. i gamed on videocards with 8 megs of vram and still plenty of people out there with 4 gigs because of retarded gpu market or stuck with 2 because of onboard gfx, FUCK THESE DEVS IN THE BUTTHOLE

Pretty sure that's how it always was. Games are usually optimised to run a few gig lower than target vram spec, simply because they wish to leave some spare in case of mem leaks or unforseen demands. At the same time, they never cared much about optimisation of lower end specs, and 8gig vram is now low end. That both manufacturers are still pushing 8gig cards, despite being well aware that they are outdated as soon as they hit the shelves, is scummy, but it's customers that are forever stupid for continuing to buy 8gig cards. 1080ti had 11gig ten years ago! If that didn't tell you that 8gig is too low, then nothing will.
