Joe Scott - How The Fifth Element REALLY Ended (According To Science)
I didn't find a thread for the movie, so I started one.
In short, that huge planetoid ball in the orbit at the end of the flick would have destroyed Earth if left there unchecked. The author did some calculations to support his predictions.
It has about as much "science" in science fiction as the old Star Wars but nevertheless, one of my favorite sci-fi movies of all time.
Set design, soundtrack, acting, pacing, mix of action and comedy its just perfect and there is so much attention to detail.
Joe Scott is awesome, he is one of the very few 1/2 dozen channels on YouTube I actually hit the subscribe button for: Joe Scott, SmarterEverday, Tom Scott, Vsauce, ElectroBOOM, Technology Connections, and Astrum.
Everyone else channel I like but not enough to sub, if I see it in recommended I will watch it, eventually, when it comes up and I go "oh I remember them they are OK"
And Fifth Element was the shit when I was younger, dont enjoy it as much now a days if I see it. But when I was early 20's loved that movie. Kinda like the matrix for me. It had a time and place in my life

I stumbled upon Joe Scott channel when watching similarly themed "The Why Files" channel.
They got some interesting stuff, but not enough for me to subscribe.
I like him better than TWF thou.
5-th element is a great movie that I periodically rewatch, once in 4 years, I think.
(WAY off topic..who would have guessed I do that )
He has some good stuff enough for me to watch it second screen while I work. Id say about 1/2 of it is stuff I actively listen to and go "I want to watch that" and the other 1/2 curious enough that I will watch it, even if it doesn't interest me.
Sort of like if he was a mash of the random videos I never would seek out, but see and make me curious about the subject.
Like (not his just an example) was scrolling YouTube at 2am and got a recommended "The History of Tin Pants and the Frontier". (or something like that) I never knew or cared what tin pants was or is. but went "Huh, I dont know what this is..what IS tin pants? And the history of them" and watched a 1 hour documentary on them.
His channel to me is like a collection of those questions...I dont seek them out, but when he has one I always go "Hmm..Im curious about that now".
Veratisum used to be on my list. But..dunno, he seems to have fallen off a bit in content, or at least content that draws me to sub. Hes now in the "If I see it recommended, maybe".
