This game seems to have a major problem with keyboard controls.
Keystrokes are often not registered—especially for dodging and parrying. You press a key, and nothing happens.
Gamers have been complaining about this on Reddit and the Steam forums.
Supposedly, it starts happening if you move your mouse during a fight and if you use free aim you move it a lot..
This bug really ruins the game for me at the moment.
There were so many instances of my characters getting hurt or killed because they didn't dodge or parry at all..
I wonder how soon steam reviews start turning into "negative" because of this.

Doesn't have to. The game seems to be loved by most people and that gives the developer some goodwill. Sure, they now need to fix it, but there is a difference between putting out a sloppy product which doesn't work and an otherwise great game with some minor flaws.

Only 5 hours in and, whilst it may not be worthy of the perfect scores it's been getting, I do like it. I would give this a solid 7-8 based on what I've played so far and looking forward to playing more in the weekend. I even like the whole dodge/parry thing, even though I thought I would hate it. And whilst there are a few enemies where parrying is iffy, it's ok so far.
The most annoying issue I have so far, is the camera angle during combat. When the enemy attacks your center character, the character on the right blocks the view of the enemy so you can't anticipate its attack.
There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.
Truly gone fishing.
More than anything, we need access to the history of cloud saves. Happens to me all the time, MGSV for instance. A whole ~150hrs wiped, I had to start again.
This "tip" is bullshit. The tubetard deliberately showcased it with attacks that this happens to apply to, however there are a great many enemy types/attacks that are either NOT preceded by an attack sound, or where waiting for the sound will either lead to parrying/dodging too late and you must utilize the visual cues of the attack connecting instead.
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

How is this happening to you guys? I never had a corrupt save or somehow got my saves deleted. I do save like a hoarder. The closest Iv been is saving a milisecond before I died - and only had that save. Cant remember the game.

Some enemies will one shot kill you, and you have to be perfect.

Yeah, so ... the end of act 1 is where I'm done with this game. Already I had issues with the writing and it's incredibly jarring tonal inconsistency, but yeah... killing off your best written character and replacing them with cookie cutter garbage ... just no. Sorry, just doesn't work for me. And you know, maybe I'm wrong and the replacement is more then the first impression, but politely fuck off game. I have no desire to continue.
It's still a 6-7 overall, but yeah... not going to find out if it drops more I suppose.

Spoiler:
Your loss - the guy they replaced him with is indeed far more than he seems. As are a few other characters. The story was incredible.

Ok, I guess it's my loss then. I think both Sciel and Lune are just nothing characters, Lune started well but as soon as Maelle joined she broke character and became the opposite with no resolution or conflict to support it.
Sciel is just nonsensical in every way. The only solid character left at this point is Maelle, and she has the problem that she's set up by the narative so far as the special one/chosen bla, bla and I hate that type of setup.
I have 0 investment in any of the characters and because of their general attitudes I have 0 investment in their mission. The absolute best 2 characters so far are already dead, that being Gustave and Sophie, which are the best written characters by far in my opinion.
And here's the thing, the did justice to his character at the end. I think it was a respectful death, I just don't care about anyone that's left.
I personally liked the game overall. For me it's a 8/10 if not for the dodge parry mechanics(i suck at them) it would be a 8.5 even.
There are some story plotholes but it didnt bother me that much. Eeven games like witcher 3 arent masterpiece sin the regards of story etc so yeah I personally still thought it was good overall especially if we take into account that it's the first game of the studio. More funding= more opportunities to improve.

Thanks for spoiling this for me for fucks sake Next time put this shit in a spoiler
What's the spoiler? The fact someone dies? I didn't mention the character's name or gender or anything to identify them, outside the fact it's the best written character. And if that's enough to identify them by, then I suppose that further proves my point of how bad a choice it is. But fine, I'll add a spoiler for that

Actually, simply mentioning that a character dies is a spoiler by itself.
If that much bothers someone then it is on them and I don't care. I can see when being specific, and maybe my "best written character" was too specific, but that's more of a problem of the game when it is that obvious from that. But if people are angry that they know that one of the many characters will die then whatever. I mean the whole premise of the game is that people die on mass and your characters have little time left. A character dies in the prologue with a ton of other npcs.
