Marvel closed out its D23 presentation with a piece of artwork showing off the entire titular team of its upcoming “Thunderbolts” movie.
This includes Julia Louis-Dreyfuss as Val, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Wyatt Russell as John Walker/US Agent, Hannah John-Kamen as The Ghost, Florence Pugh as Yelena, Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster and Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes.
Based on the bad guy/anti-hero team from the comics, “Thunderbolts” is expected to see a mix of heroes and villains thrown together under U.S. government oversight. The title serves as the last of the upcoming ‘Phase 5’ of the MCU.
Shooting on the project will kick off early next year ahead of a mid-2024 release.
I wonder if Citizen V will make an appearance. Part of what made the original comic storylines interesting was the mystery of who Citizen V was but they kind of already did something similar with Taskmaster in the Black Widow film but I could see them purposely leaving V out of that artwork just so they will let people think about who else might make an appearance.
The villains are a bunch of USB-C cables, and our heroes need to go through and figure out who is a power charging cable only (henchmen), USB 3.x cable (soldiers), a high-speed Thunderbolt 3 cable (sub bosses) and Thunderbolt 4 cable is the final boss. The post-credit scene sets up a USB 4 cable as the next supervillain.
this looked like the usual crap at first, but in the latest trailers dosent look too bad, and its from the beef director i see, even though the directors dosent mean shit in marvel movies maybe it will be a nice surprise
Out of all the "critical drinker circle" youtubers Mr H Reviews is the smuggest of'em all.
I kinda feel distinct "I'm antiwoke cause its fashionable" vibe out of him.
I'm quite hopeful Thunderbolts will not be a flop.
Read that it's mid, just run of the mill superhero movie, forgettable and very emo.

I don't agree, rather the least smug out of the more known ones... he's not even typically streaming with the usual Nerdrotic, Az, Geeks and Gamers and Critical Drinker gang so if he was just about making a lot of money, he's awful at it. He's criticized them a few times too i think, kind of a loner guy in the sphere.
I watched his videos a lot like 3-4 years ago, usually has good takes about the Alien franchicse, that's what he's most known for, less known for being anti-woke i think, even though since the increase of that it's been increased on the channel too, which is kind of natural since he talks about movies so kind of hard to ignore, well, unless you're IGN etc, which he's not.
Critical drinker's ramblings are somewhat amusing at times but I don't follow him or watch a lot of his videos. I don't take him seriously. He does have some good points though.
They renamed the movie to "The New Avengers" now.
What a trainwreck.
Hoe to ruin a franchise name with b-tier heroes/actors.
Good luck recovering from that imo.
