You must be the one unique snowflake that had it happen to him though. I'll just go with: user error, it's you after all.
I vote Trump..far from being a snowflake.. Libtards and DemocRATS are pieces of shit..
oh and they were there, but I could not enable them (fix it) it so I uninstalled FF and then they were all removed which is when I reinstalled them all.
I was wondering what was going on when Youtube decided to show me an ad. Been years since I last looked at the internet without adblockers. Absolutely horrible and completely unusable.
The EU-mandated warnings/popups fill up some of that void, no worries. Protecting muh cookies and muh data!
You have scripts for that as well you know... and I really don't see why you rather have the American model of corporations fucking your data in every hole. They like to throw limits on us... time we show them some limits as well.
As to firefox, I saw only 4 hours of an internet without my addons... and holy fucking hell its even worse than I imagined. Ad space bigger than articles is common.
You mean all the data they've ever gathered on you being used for any number of things like selling it, registering your habits and profiling you, using it for ad purposes, spying on you and so on etc.
Seriously, you must know all this? Or do you see Facebook, Google etc. as benign corporations that give you free services with no way of making money on you? Granted, it's not unique to US corps but those tend to be the biggest culprits by a big majority.
I have some very basic data on my barely used FB, I'm not too worried about those, I knew about it when I used my real name. I could use a fake name or some nickname or not use FB at all.
All other stuff I use is anonymous or using wrong information. And whatever profiling they do is not tied to me personally, it is not "sensitive personal data".
I don't need the protection of some government babysitter, I give my real personal info only when and if I want. I can also disable all cookies or use a whitelist, there is no need to be asked for permission endlessly, dozens or hundreds of times a day.
FFS. Suddenly DuckDuckGo doesn't work and neither does linked youtube-clips here on the humps. Just black rectangles where the video is supposed to be. Never had an issue with FF until now. FF updated to 68.0.1 Thursday 18th but it's only now that things fuck up. Google still works though so I don't know what's going on.
Yeah, I've disabled all extensions (I had a bunch of adblockers, privacy addons and so on) and everything works. I'll enable the extensions one by one to see which one is f*cking up.
EDIT: It was the User Agent Switcher (obfuscates the browsers user agent to look like Safari on MacOS or whatever). VERY weird but that one is gone.
ShadowFox works with the newest v70.
Theres just 2 little Fixes you have to edit in the "about:config".
Quote:
Note: As of Firefox version 69, the user needs to enable userChrome via about:config, as it is disabled by default.
Enter about:config into the URL bar.
Accept the risk of tampering with these values.
Enter toolkit.legacyUserProfileCustomizations.stylesheets into the search bar.
Double-click the line with values that appear to toggle the preference to "true" (default is "false").
looks pretty nice.. i wonder when mozilla adds a real dark mode..
If you try to drag and drop images to desktop or other folders, but get a "blocked" cursor, it's because of this shit. "Security" Motherfuckers, I've chosen to turn off UAC for a reason.
quite gratuite post if you ask me, Mozilla is 100% transparent regarding its telemetry: https://docs.telemetry.mozilla.org/ lots of blah blah blah for nothing, everyone can disable it by unchecking the telemetry in the firefox settings.
just for my own understanding, you are using chrome probably which does not allow deactivating telemetry?
"Chrome sends these reports for all certificate chains, even those that chain to a private root of trust, these chains can contain personally identifiable information."
"if you're signed in to Chrome and have enabled Chrome sync, Chrome may combine your declared age and gender from your Google account" aka the majority of Gmail users since Google automatically adds this to Chrome
But then again, didn't expect anything other from anti-privacy Google. I try to avoid Google as much as possible but sadly not everything has a decent alternative.
how can i trust a company still who is laying of so many people and paying their ceo so exhubirents amount of money when nobody even knows where the money is exactly coming from ...

time to ditch it and look elsewhere, again ...
isnt there like an open source browser?
I think the market share reasoning is not valid to judge mozilla as they do not have a for profit purpose. We can argue about the level of the CEO earnings... I think it is better to have mozilla operating like a Debian linux community but this was never the case as mozilla was born out of for profit netscape. lots of blah blah for nada if you ask me...
I am enjoying firefox until today as there is simply no alternative. I also can understand there is a need for substantial overhead to keep competing in a forprofit oligopoly driven market.
If you do not support Mozilla, do not support it, nobody obliges you, but spreading lots of biased fud is not needed...
mozilla is a fuckin NGO providing free of charge a quality browser, stop thinking in a marketshare failed way if all its competitors are lobbying governments and installing non competitive practices on a daily basis. would even not be surprised if the one who wrote the page is sitting on Google's or Microsoft's payroll
Yeah, it surprised me, and the "Vertically expanded looking tabs" above, just to show off the "PLAYING" text below Youtube or sound content, makes it worse.. Though i like the blue shapes around boxes and checkboxes to check things clearly
Let's hope it improves...."Loading a shit ton of FB posts and not slowing down the more you see", wich i doubt it
Although due to the theme i have it's a bit hard to see the "Arrow down to box" download icon being sky blue ==;;;

Damn that is a shock, read this topic first, then restarted the browser and boom
Now the reply box has a shrill blue border. Not sure yet whether this is going to be comfortable or annoying...
The tabs on top are way too wide now, loss of screen estate is noticeable
Firefox Color helps a bit with the shitty new theme
Going full retarded it seems. I miss when the browser was pretty good and the worst part about it was how the CEO apparently just wanted to cure the gays or something like that
Nerds are advising to switch over to LibreWolf as it's a fairly seamless migration.
