Oh man, I'm a singer/songwriter now. Very Happy lol

The 1st attempt "kissing your breasts" raised a flag.
Breast such a tempting word.

you're about 2 years late Razz

you can usually trick AI's by just writing "explicit" words differently, like how they are pronounced instead of actual spelling.

Try
https://suno.com/
or maybe
https://www.udio.com/

They are better I think. LOT less AI sounding.

Just made this on Suno:

Laughing awesome

luckily I can still "see" the seams on AI-made music as how I could see the seams in pictures not a year back. But we all know where this'll end (indistinguishable)

Yea, it was a quick gen, its hit or miss on just random quick throw togethers.
Its sort of like doing AI photo gen. It takes someplaying with it and making a handful of what you want tweaking it to get a truly good one, while the others are 'ok' but not the best.

udio has been the best by far, but i've not tried sumo for quite a while, so maybe it's equally good these days.

yeah, i'm a bit bored with it currently too. in comparison to building patches and experimenting with my modular system its pretty shit as a "hobby", but yes, it's also super impressive at the same time...

Udio I liked it, but it seems to struggle on more obscure genres or instruments.
It had no idea what a Koto or shamisen was. And some 90's new-age or 80s non pop genres it just gave up and made modern pop.
haven't tried it in months, maybe its better.

Oh man, modular synth. Id love to have one. If I was filthy rich..I'd have Holkenborg's setup
See the whole thing at like 10 seconds in.

It's too big and tedious to work with i think, the 5U format is just overall very big so it takes up tons of space. I use Eurorack (3U), much smaller modules.

some years ago i had 3 cases (1 big, then 2 small). Even that was tedious because you had to move around a lot. Here's my current setup.

I can just comfortably patch everything from one place. Like a big screen but with hands-on controls.

Im jealous Very Happy Very nice!

I just play with Cardinal and VCRack to get my fix.
I guess I could slowly build one, but I know how often I'd make anything productive or even use it, wouldn't justify the cost. It would end up being the exercise bike of musical gear: Eventually its a place I use to just hold random junk that I need to clean off now and then to use it Razz

It's just a toy for me, i'm too old to care about "being an artist" or releasing stuff, i have little interest in it.
But, if i make a indie game i'll have something do noise and music and effects with.

The black digital module to the right with the blue screen is actually VCV rack, in a module.. very meta Laughing
