Mod teams are such massive morons. At first we get some bits and pieces then it's "We've remade Oblivion completely in a faithful way and now you'll get the definitive edition and it'll basically fap you dick while you're playing. It's that good. BTW OUT SOON GUISE" 2 years later, nothing and the game company one ups them.

Have they said it's "out soon" though? these projects are absolutely MASSIVE. It's amazing if they reach even close to 50% finalization, maybe 2% of all these mods do, most of these are either click bait or from young and very delusional modders who think "oh, this is so fun, i'm sure in 3 years i will think it's still JUST as fun + same for everyone in my 3-person team!" ... 2 months later "i'm gonna be a parent!" or "i'm liking THIS OTHER game now, so i'm gonna mod THAT!"
But yeah, outsourced and UE5, this is old news, same news as always. Outsourced to those who ported e.g Uncharted 4, they had some good ones under their belt, i think it was that one + some others.
Besides, Oblivion's primary issue is the aggressively daft level scaling, and unless the remustarded version addresses that in the same way extensive overhauls like OOO and Maskar did, the vanilla experience is going to be pretty mundane aside from the improved visuals. Not that the average Gamepass enjoyer can even notice such things, mind you. I hope the Skyblivion folks will be able to release their project in peace - the fact that it comes with full modding support out of the box already puts it ahead of anything else.
>Anniversary Edition

More info via Leakers Discord:
>Full Remake on Unreal Engine 5 while running on the Creation Engine

>No mod support planned due to Unreal Engine 5 complications."
Did you just try to give Creation Engine credit in some way?
Cause that's nuts
I am not joking. Game development has regressed to shocking levels compared to early 2000's.
we may have shinier graphics but they are stupidly inefficient in their production, while mechanics and interactivity was simply shelved altogether.
I repeat, I am not joking when I say that the simple shit from 2004-10 that ran on a potato like real time planar reflections and physics will now require a $10k PC because of spaghetti code, rushed cycles and lack of skilled staff.
