It's not a weird issue. Frame gen needs more VRAM. It's not bugged, your card has to little VRAM. When VRAM is full FPS tanks to 15.
It's nvidia shipping cards with way to less VRAM. My budget 4060 has 50% more potential if it had (12gb?) enough VRAM.
So you have to upgrade sooner or buy their flagship model. Profit for Nvidia.
so 16gb on a 4070ti Super is not enough...? this happens even in games that do not even come close to saturating vram
Who's gonna buy those if games run fine on 4xxx series?!
For 4K it's not enough.
It's sick. You'll need a 5090 to 4k in max settings, just because Nvidia fucks you over with VRAM.
Edit: always believed that buying a 50 series for my next rig is a no brainer. Cause dlls/better optimisation that nvidia has as market leader. But I'd rather buy a 24 gig amd card. Don't want a 5090 though cause off high power/heat/noise. And what is the point of a 16gb 5070 cause you'll be vram limited. A high end AMD card with 24 gb isn't all that bad. No DLSS sucks though.

Can try the program that restarts the driver also. Fixed weird nvidia issues in another game i dont rember. That was the hdr though.
12900k and 4090 i think it runs adequately enough on dlss quality, no frame generation and full blast everything else. Some slowdowns here and there, but its completely fine for me.

but that wasn't the subject of discussion?
FG is bugged in some games where you'll have to quit the game or disable/enable FG for it to work properly
It is. If you play in 4K: it’s your vram.
Even if your afterburner overlay says your vram is not 100% full but say 95%, it’s your vram. Cause fg Needs a lot and this game needs close to 16 gigs in 4K without it.
In 1440p: probably a bug.
Same! Altough I did collect all the artifacts to get the secret ending (not really worth the 2 second cut scene tbf )
Highly enjoyable, but not going to replay it either. Vatican was the best area, fully agree with Yahtzee there.
Looking forward to a sequel, if there are plans for it, that is.
Great video. I didn’t realise Troy Baker did the mocap stuff but it’s not too surprising since he did it all for Joel too in The Last of Us Part 1 and 2.
[Indiana Jones and the Great Circle ] Some users may experience intermittent micro-stuttering [5015165]
Improved stability for UBISoft games using the Snowdrop engine [4914325]
Anyone else game crashes everytime try to change video settings?
I'm also getting 4FPS in the main menu...
NVM. Guess I'm running out of VRAM maxxed out on my 4080S
Guess I have to buy 5090 next month
If this game is the new standard, the 50 series is dead on arrival.
These GPU's are VRAM limited. Sure the 5090 will get you 32 VRAM, but it can't never use all of it's compute cause it's also VRAM bottlenecked, it's a waste of money.
I'm gonna either skip this or buy the top line AMD card with 32 VRAM. Do need a new rig though, my CPU is ancient. Been waiting for the 50 series and then they fuck it up.
Nvidia said they want yearly releases for their GPU's. Wouldn't be surprised to see the 60 series soon wiith enough VRAM on board.

And the game doesn't look that great. Im playing it on the max settings. Also the RT settings. On a 4090.
That's the problem with modern high end gaming. You'll need a shit load of compute for almost no improvement because it allready looks good.
And then you'll have Nvidia wanting ever more profit for products that do not impress anymore AND they still want you to upgrade every 2-3 years for profit. It's the end for PC gaming imho.
What just happened at 0:37? Most of all why can't I stop laughing? It was the equivalent of shoot them in the back until they turn around. "Damn boy, you shot them in the back..." "well, their back was to me." And when he turned around he broke the piece of wood he just rubbed on the guys nuts, over his head.
