Finally got back into this after a lengthy hiatus, after a bit of a wobbly start because my expired cargo wouldn't stop wiggling from side to side I finally wrapped up the early prologue bit.
Quite a chill game experience with a bit of depth to how you deal with the various cargo deliveries and later on I presume also some tactical depth to combat, risk of leaving bodies and the resulting voidouts plus greater depth as more utilities and construction opens up.
Characters are all bloody weird as usual for a Kojima game, love the music that kicks in and the Decima engine while not the newest build makes for a great visual experience as you trek across the terrain finding the best, not always shortest, routes and go about these deliveries or just explore.
Not bad at all, though I am a bit too early on for anything especially in-depth and how it holds up later on.
Guess I never did write anything in here.
So I tried the cracled original DS in ~2023, not the director's cut, and it was okay but it kept crashing on the 2nd map (the one in which you can build the highway), sometimes erasing 1.5-2h of progress.
Was that ever fixed in the DC?
