I can't remember one single CDPR title that delivered at release. They all needed an enhanced edition to become actually good. So I don't care. I can wait. I enjoyed all their games.
Witcher 1 and 3 were fine at release.
Sure Witcher 3 was improved afterwards, but the game was all the hype when released.

I always considered the ending where she becomes a Witcher to be canon, it seemed like the best one you could get, by allowing her to be who she wanted
Same here. That was the one that I got.

1.3. EE brought much needed polish.
Yep. I remember I waited until polish was available as a downloadable language before starting my playthrough. I played all three games with the polish voice acting. I couldn't let go of those "kuuuuurrrrrrrwa!"
I already know that I'll dearly miss Uncle Geraldo since he is The Witcher but at the end of the day, this was the natural course to give the franchise some proper continuity. Although I found Ciri's sections the weakest part of TW3, I'm confident the CD kurwas (the ones left anyway) will make the new systems work as intended. It's probably safe to expect some bastardizations and compromises as well in the writing this time around, let's hope the tone/direction will still be as respectable as the trailer suggests.

u wot m8?®
Witcher 3 had tons of patches to fix many (yeah, I agree, inherent problems for an open world game).
And Witcher 1... oh boy... had HUGE technical problems. Low framerate, massive loading times, crashes... it also took much time to have the Enhanced Edition to fix / finish (kinda) the game.
Fuck these female protagonists, totally ruins immersion, by far the worst parts of TW3.
Partly agree. I don't mind female protagonists as long as they're cleaarly not made with the intention of being repulsive to the average male, and that is what a lot of studios are doing. People don't complain about female protagonists in asian games, because they're good looking.
But all in all, male protagonists are more badass, you get pumped up and hyped. I think even women really enjoy that. Like who feels threatened by some skank gurlboss villain or rough voiced stick figure woman protagonist? The sad reality is that female characteres are best as side cast/companions There are exceptions to this rule
Yeah, that's the only thing that worried me about Ciri in this trailer, she seemed to be angry the whole time. Hopefully it's just her having a bad day
She looks like an onlyfan ho with too much fillers and lip injections wtf is this? It's triggering some uncanny valley shit in my brain, one scene she looks normal the next she looks like one of those former milfs that are trying to hold on to their long lost youth
Imo there is no issue with the trailer. Its very similar to a witcher 3 cgi.
Geralt looks very different /ugly and is in a bad mood throughout etc.
The only issue i have is if im not mistaken she shouldnt be able to be a witcher and what about her other powers?
Maybe it gets explained in the game but according to game lore(i think the game already deviated from the books) it shouldnt be possible to become a fully fledged witcher anymore.
