Karma's a bitch:
https://www.eurogamer.net/pokemon-developer-game-freak-reels-from-unprecedented-gigaleak-of-significant-internal-data
Quote: | Pokémon developer Game Freak is reeling from an unprecedented "gigaleak" of "significant internal data" of Pokémon info that reportedly includes source code for HeartGold/SoulSilver and the codename for Switch 2.
Pokémon insiders like CentroLeaks say the data contains "multiple gigabytes of info" - enough that it should be termed a "teraleak", with details of cancelled and unannounced games such as a "Splatoon-like" battle-focused multiplayer developed in collaboration with ILCA.
It's also thought that Game Freak is internally referring to Switch 2 with the codename "Ounce".
There are also reports of a "trilogy live-action movie series". Whilst two are based upon Detective Pikachu, one - called Game Boy - "aims to dig deep into the theme of Pokémon's boundless potential, creating a story that highlights the importance of bonds, whether between friends or between Pokémon themselves".
The complete plot to a Detective Pikachu sequel, The Great Detective Pikachu, is also included. It seems the movie was originally planned for release in 2024, but "it's unclear if it was just delayed or cancelled".
More astonishingly still, a document containing the alleged meeting notes from when The Pokémon Company "reflected on why Ash's story in the anime needed to end" has also leaked.
"Lots of source files and beta content for past Pokémon games are currently leaking, along with a few details on upcoming projects," Centro Leaks said on X/Twitter.
"We expect more information to be uncovered in the coming hours and days."
Whilst we'll refrain from sharing the images here, you don't have to go far to find compilations of "all the sprites together", PSD files from game logos, and "hundreds of concept arts and character sheets".
Whilst there's no way of concretely authenticating the enormous cache information that has been uncovered, the sheer number and amount of detail here reminds us of Rockstar's GTA leak in 2022, with little doubt what has appeared online is authentic. |

There's TONS of stuff (resources and etc, not human-pokeman mating ) in the leak, poke-autists predict a bright future for romhacks of previous games.

I disagree with asmand[..] whatever his name is.
The MECHANIC isn't what is challenged: Summoning pets to fight. The direct visual style and items used Nintendo created to do so are.
A ball, which is specifically dual-colored and baseball sized, that opens like a clamshell in a throwing motion and the creature appears in a flash of light and materializes while making its trademark animal sound. IS pretty ubiquitous with Pokemon.
To me it's the same as making a game of a man in a red Spandex suit covered in spiderwebs, who swings from thin ropes that he shoots from reels on his wrist, and calls himself arachnid-man, and getting upset Marvel says you are copying an iconic trademark, and you arguing Marvel cannot stop people from making open world swinging fighter games.
No they can't. But they can stop you from cloning Spiderman in your open world swinging fighter game.

Is that really what the patent implies though, doesn't look like it to me, but what do i know.. it seems to be extremely broad, similar to "you can't use a character that swings from a rope between buildings, it's ours."
If the patent is super specific, then i agree with you and Asmon is wrong.

Dude is fucking retarded, just like all the popular content creators really, they just do/say whatever the 50 iq viewers want to hear (I mean smart in that sense I guess, they can act however way brings them the most €€€€).

can you give concrete examples? to me it seems like yet another youtuber you "have" to hate because he's famous/successful, and you can never like those. Wasn't it the same with pewdiepie, i avoided him like the plague because people hated him, then i watched him out of curiosity, pretty great i'd say, not that i felt like i was the age group exactly but...

They are not real, that's why they are so popular, they just act in a way that brings them the most €€€, which makes sense in business pov, but you would have to be dumb to think any of it is "real", it's just "content" for mindless apes who can't think for themselves or fact check anything.

That seems conspiratorial to me, just because someone's opinions is aligned with the audience doesn't mean it's fake, rather it's an audience that has found this particular youtuber because they tend to agree with him.
I followed some of these big ones from when they had 5000 subscribers (like Nerdrotic, which i followed for a really long while). His opinions didn't change over the years, it's the same ramblings as when he was a total nobody.
I have seen such fake youtubers though, like the girl with the annoying voice (Grace randolph), she seems super fake and i've even seen her step back on an opinion when the audience didn't like her take.
These youtubers are only "fake" in the sense that they do really scrub the internet for things that they know their audience will like to hear them ramble about. That's not fake, that's just knowing your audience.
You are likely confusing predictable (which is a genuine trait for most people) with "fake". It's when people are totally unpredictable you should start paying attention, that's when you know they're likely not genuine and instead are just trying to please.

Nintendo's lawsuit is bullshit. Why not sue Temtem for instance?? Pokemon created a genre and it's fine if other people borrow the idea.
And off course monsters are gonna look alike. There are a 1025 Pokemons. How the fuck are you are supposed to create a Pokemon clone without monsters resembling original pokemon.
And the worst part is that the original Pokemon games are realy, realy bad now. Pokemon Scarlet is one of the worst games i've played this decade. It's awfull. And they are not even trying to make a good game, the production values are shit. And people buy it regardless cause it's Pokemon. And Nintendo knows the game is shit but it's an inportant Nintendo IP that has to pay the bills. So they sue a Pokomon clone to prevent any competition to sell there crap Pokemon games. But Palward isn't even a true Pokemon clone. They are just aiming at this cause the Pokemon with guns idea sparked some controversy so they believe they have a change with this one.
