Well, game runs great here on a RTX 3060Ti with standard ray tracing (not "Full ray tracing"/Path Tracing which is not supported by this card) with everything maxed out except for 'Texture Pool size' which is set to "Medium" and 'Shadows' set to "High", as having both settings on a higher value requires 10-12 GB VRAM.
On a different note, the steam forums for this game are a shitshow right now
any way to copy the gamepass file to another location? its the stupid ms ntfs permissions thing. tried take over permissions and use robocopy for that folder. both dont work
Bro, after years of sweeping for Microsoft here in the humps now they pull the rug on you just like that? For shame
yes and now they played dirty on me twice, unpacking that shit takes ages. would have been faster to download the 100+gb again
I have the feeling that the performance of the Game Pass version (with Pathtracing disabled) is way worse than the performance on the rune version Getting close to 100 fps sometimes using rune version and the Game Pass version runs with 40-60 fps.
It also seems that restarting the game sometimes drastically changes FPS in the same scenes?
I mean it's no secret the winstore version is often the worst version and the game is vulkan and not DX12, no clue how well wulkan works with the stupid restrictions MS has on winstore games but most likely it's not a great combination.
I'm on the Game Pass version btw, no means to compare to the filibuster version as I can't be arsed to download and install another 115 GB, but like I said it's running (and looking) great for me so far.
Steam:
No raytracing Options on AMD
Thanks for nothing. Dont tell me it wont work, while Nvidia cards are struggling because they have not enough vram.
Can you at least disable full RT/PT?
I made a note not to install the 0 day patch because of that I'm glad it runs decent as it is now, don't want to screw around with it.

Hm, wonder where Games for Win... I mean Gamepass sits.
Think about it, would you pay $42 on Steam ($60 if you weren't granted asylum in Argentina) when you can just pay $18 for 1 month of Game Pass Ultimate and be done with the game in 3 weeks? (if you take your sweet time like me with these games).
But yeah, it would be interesting to get those stats from Micro$oft.

I'd rather not pay for anything when it comes to games that shit on PC gamers, having basic missing features, woke insertions and green devilish RTX/PT marketing.

I wasn't even counting the legion that just went the corsair way, but we usually don't in these discussions
I think even those corsair 'legions' are lower than usual, due to game's requirements (lots of SSD space, RTX only / 2xxx series up).
On that we can completely agree, but I'd be surprised if the publisher/developer didn't already know this.
Why would you 'inject' such demand for extremely high-end resources, if you KNOW that only 3-5% of your customers will afford it?
Are those 3-5% really THAT important? Why? In what way? What are the numbers here?
Or is it just for 'showing-off'? For building an 'image'? For grabbing contracts with 'X' companies that would use this technology? "Look at what magnificent tech we created! We're truly pioneers!"
Whatever it is, it seems to be working for nVidia:

As a HUGE Indy fan, I think it's a great game so far, about as close as the movies as you can get without giving him the ability to shoot everyone.
Pretty funny how much more faithful a video game is to the Indy world than anything Hollywood can come up with. I love the little details everywhere. I've probably spent more time looking at stuff, reading high res posters etc than playing it so far.
I've noticed a few dead actors too, it's kind of cool they can continue on in games like this after their deaths. Close to how they were, as well.
I turned off pathtracing. Losing a literal 100FPS for better lighting just isn't worth it, but I'll gladly replay again in the future.

thats wat happens when people are passionate about wat they making
game is pretty lengthy but i also take my time with it, think im halfway through, still think uncharted games did the adventure part better, like larger treasure set pieces etc, maybe this was by design as its more close to how the movies did them
enemy ai is still dumb but at least its fun to take them out
game has its charm for sure, the cutscenes feels like ur watching a movie
Love the little details and optional stuff everywhere. Like giving some workers a bottle of wine, finding the brush for the painter or helping a nun reach a book in the library. I don't think it gives any bonus or anything, but it makes everything more alive.
Taking pictures of people will make them pose for it (seen this in other games too, but it's always a nice touch)
I like it more than uncharted so far. The set pieces are not as spectacular, perhaps, but the big maps and exploration is great. Made it to Egypt, and looking at the size of that map, I'll be here for the rest of the week

So I cleared out some makeshift prison but the key for the cell will not spawn until you learn about the captive via a quest (you still can overhear guards talking about him. Same with the excavation site. I cleared it out but then when I got the actual quest to go there it got magically repopulated with enemies) This is pretty silly.
i heard stealth is the only way, if you shoot you alert the entire level basically and all enemies comes running and you're dead.
Mack also said for puzzles you can't solve them yourself, your companion will help you automatically or your own character will tell you all the time that you should look in a certain spot. Is this really the case on harder difficulties as well? Did he play on easy/normal?
He was amazed by the story though, he mentioned lesbians, as expected, but that it also didn't impact the game much at all so..
Fz.se did give it a 3/5 in comparison to e.g SW Outlaws which they gave a 4/5 lol. I sometimes agree with them and sometimes not... surprised at the low score since they kind of shilled for the Indy game quite a lot, especially if i said something negative haha
stealth is bs because dumb ai, u make loud noise near enemies they dont hear it, even if all enemies come at u its fun to punch so many of them in so many ways, if u shoot at them they shoot back, shooting is very satisfying too, but u get around this by finding the right disguise that lets u explore in the enemy camp much like in hitman
there are like 1-2 missions that u do with a companion and they will start giving hints very fast but if ure alone u only get hints if u take a picture of the puzzle
only 1 mention of a character that is a lesbian and that was so fast one would miss it...so woke
I can see your soul at the edges of your eyes..

It's not woke, unless having a female companion (like in every Indy movie ) makes it so. I like the banter between them, actually.
Enemies take some time to respawn, which is something at least. Some enemies don't seem to respawn at all, depending on the area.
I started just picking a fight and then let the rest come to me. Combat is easy, Indy punches really fast too, and it makes exploring the area a lot easier
