I had the same problem a while ago and replaced uBlock with AdBlocker Ultimate + YouApp (youtube ad-blocker/skipper).

Weird problem with Opera (Chrome based afaik)
Youtube tries to load a couple adverts, I see the ad title but the screen is black, no sound. After a reload or two (about 15 seconds more or less) the video loads but with the time you were waiting already passed, i.e. starting at 0:23

Some of it is probably timestamp data, query path data, server cluster data etc.
So they can track and trace when, what network path, and search server cluster returned the results.
Not sure what all of it is, but some of it is probably 'fingerprint' data of how that search result was formed.

Since a couple of weeks I'm getting black screen pauses before videos start. Shit-tube has obviously done something. I've tried a bunch of different adblockers but I still get that damn pause (up to 30 seconds, it varies). Using Edge. Fuck the tube.

I get this too. Weird thing is, it comes and goes. Some days it's fine, other days it's "Experiencing Interruptions?" popup and roughly 6 or 7 seconds before the video starts to buffer and actually play. It's annoying, but honestly, so long as I never see an ad, I really don't care. Happens on both Firefox and Edge, using uBlock Origin + SponsorBlock.

The day I start seeing ads is the day I'll completely stop using the platform. This is obviously what they want, so in a way you can say they'd have won, but if everyone followed suite the platform would quickly empty out.
It's been shit for a while - they treat their biggest as well as most interesting niche content creators like trash, with absolutely no communication, rendering infractions against "community guidelines" at the drop of a hat, oftentimes with little to no explanation as to why. I'm surprised the people posting videos bother putting up with that shit.
Wish Vimeo, or some other platform (preferably based in Sweden or somewhere with some decent privacy laws and no DMCA bullshit) would get their head out of their ass and offer up a viable alternative. YT's stranglehold on it all is not good.
