Pretty fair to complain loudly about stutters both micro and whatever. That shit needs to be addressed and being a overly positive faggot never helps anyone.
I'm not saying don't complain. But you can still play it. DSremake is on Gamepass for example and a lot of people have that. No need to spend additional money buying the game.
“The only way to deal with an unfree world is to become so absolutely free that your very existence is an act of rebellion.”
- Albert Camus
Not playing is a good way to protest. At the end of the day you're likely the only one missing out though, but if everyone did it and said it's because of those fucking micro stutters then a patch would be out swiftly. But people are smooth brained faggots these days either shilling or making excuses for the devs
150GB goddamn... and in a week we'll get another 150GB game GW Ragnarok. Do these devs think SSDs grow on trees or what
Just get a large NVMe and get it over with. I bought a 2TB quite some time ago and never regretted it. They're now much lower priced at ~110€, 4TB costs around double that now.
Depends on settings, resolution, etc. Microstutter is present, here and there. I'm currently playing it on 14600KF, RTX 4070 Super, 32gb ram, Nvme... Epic, 4k, Dlssq, RT off. FPS is locked at 60Fps (TV and Xbox S X controller).
The performance is rather iffy indeed, with a high average framerate alternated by the signature hiccups happening before cutscenes and while visiting new/crowded areas (more noticeable when RT is on). It's not a particularly advanced game tech-wise either, however, the art direction is competent for the most part - too bad the team of interns responsible for the animations and collisions didn't seem to grasp the basic locomotion of a human body or simple gravity.
If one can get past the consolitis from the controlling scheme à la Tomb Uncharted Rambo to the floaty Soulslite-like combat, the level design is more open than the previous game, there are various QoL improvements (also multiple stances available), and even the exploration (Fallen Order's most disappointing aspect) is a teeny bit more meaningful since skill points/upgrades can be found among fancy red antennas for the droid, man buns and brand new pairs of glitter pants
Still, for a game that invests so many resources in cinematic storytelling and tries so hard to present an engaging set of characters, the adventures of Ginger Jedi sure do feel pretty mundane. Between the classic Jedi-isms and the antagonist's motives coming straight from some anime, in my opinion not much can be salvaged writing-wise here, as per the T-rated nuStarWars Disneyverse.
In short: it's Fallen Order with improved gameplay but more diluted pacing and a story that (once again) doesn't bring anything worthwhile to the table, so make of it what you will, isopadawans.
Really enjoyed this one. Sure, the writing is not KOTOR, but considering how the franchise is getting butchered on every step this was a nice Xmas gift
