I mean yes, but not really. Chris' and his mistresses' expenses probably eat into that fairly heavily. Boats n' hoes ain't cheap, ya know? Laughing

...at release it'll run at 300 FPS and no one is any longer impressed by the graphics.

for 1 billion it should run at 1000 fps on a potato but seems no new employees stay longer then a few months, so zero chance it will be optimized

they already begged microsoft for a deal ... the money is gone and they have zero backup plans. recession is here and people closing their wallets

You know what's the saddest part?

There are 14k likes and only 320 dislikes.

Meaning the vast majority of people are still supporting this nonsense... Neutral

With how overly complicated and intentionally frustrating most things they do for this game, I am surprised they didn't make you actually build everything by yourself by fine placing metal panels and screwdriving every nut and bolt. Laughing

They actually did that at first.

But 3 PCs exploded and there was a fire on level 1 of the dev building.

So they put it on hold.

Sure, if the servers or glitches don't screw you over, you can actually enjoy a decent space sim

FPS is okay, reminds me a bit of Arma, with similar clunkiness

but if SQ42 is 2 years away from release

add 2 more for SC

So, see ya in the verse, in 2028/2029

It's amazing how they keep just showing things that may or may not be released in 10 years. But seeing their funding page, only 20th October made them 2 mil $$$ but has been decreasing down to 500k for yesterday.
Maybe people finally starting to learn not to get baited by these promo videos.

The rate of progression and amount of new features presented as well as their polish is quickly increasing though. The features are also becoming less fundamental and more detail oriented

This is a very different development phase and pace as compared to 6 years ago

I honestly believe that at this rate we will see a finished product within the next 4-5 years

Which is still ridiculous of course. They will have developed the game for 17-18 years then.

Jesus.

Imagine having a kid back then and being excited about this game and being told "Yea you'll enjoy it when your kid gets a drivers license"

I mean in previous years they would get 20+ millions $$$ the same hour after releasing 2 minutes of imaginary gameplay video. Now was just total of 3.7 millions in 4 days.
