Whole time I played it I felt like someone wanted to make a tv series but everyone rejected his script. Most likely cheaper to just hire artists to AI upscale and sharpen textures than developing a proper sequel. Okay

Played through Days Gone last year on PC.
It wasnt bad but wasnt great either.
Only would want a Days Gone 2 if they are ready to innovate.

It's free money for them with minimal effort.
PC version will stay the same and get additional low effort content like speedrun mode etc.
PS 5 will get the game with pc gfx and the afformentioned content.

For them it makes sense i guess.

it's not a remaster for PC as it already looked and ran great. It's for the console peasants. I finished the game when it came out on an rx 580 8GB and it ran smooth as butter. This is a game that looks better than 80% of the shit that comes out these days. an interesting look at the work that went unappreciated under the hood in this game and you can't dream of having in modern games:
