An okayish episode by this seasons standards, but as a finale... thats it?! This is some serious milking and I have no expectations anymore. I think Martin isn't even involved in season three.

one of the worst rated episodes on IMDB, not good for a finale, especially if you want to even be able to continue to make the show. obviously the last episode is the most important where you put in most of the effort, but nope...

I think it would have made more sense to combine Rhaena and Baela, rather than Rhaena and Nettles. Nettles was the character I was most looking forward to seeing

it's almost like they made a Fuck Off to the fans. They let Sara Hess write the episode, and she wrote the worst episode of Season 1. It's like they looked at which ep got the lowest score ever, and then "yeah, we'll let her ruin the finale, fuck em."

he and grrm said before that they wished for 4 seasons to do the book justice but that was for a 10 ep season...with every new season being 8 ep the total ep will be 34 vs 40...
he said he cant do annual because of the lots of dragons cgi...but when got took 2 year break in the final season we got lenghty 1 h and a half ep with also massive full ep battles vs a 10min dragon battle and some dragon scenes sprinkeled in the season
Saw this over the weekend, it was pretty good.
In the beginning there were seemingly only a few plots but then the new ones evolved nicely along the season and there's a great setup for S3 with the follow up on the war and the DEI hires/EVA pilot plot
Felt like I should have recognized some of the faces and places, but I didn't even see S1 in anticipation, let alone GoT so that's my fault.
Would like to see some more of alicent's fine royal ass, but at least the series wasn't infested by cock so that's a plus.
The only downside was the inclusion of the loony troon on the last ep. but even that was easily skipable, just make sure to kill off xir on the first minute of S3E01, mmmkay writers/producers/directors?
