The devs said that a poe 3 is very unlikely so this might be the only chance to give the crpgs a second life and somehow lead to a poe 3. Unlikely but who knows. That s why i hope awoved succeeds anyway
It looks fine to me. Obsidian allready proved they can do the Bethesda thing better with New Vegas. Controller ui sucks, but that’s aaa gaming in 2024.
It looks odd, there's clear looter shooter mechanics in there looking at the inventory screen. I have a feeling they've tried to balance this with tabletop like stats which would be a huge mistake.
1. You make a classic style RPG that people prefer from an isometric viewpoint (BG3 guys?).
2. You go full casual and make a skyrim ripoff because Bethesda have failed over and over again for a decade with terrible release and release.
It looks like a fusion of both, which will disappoint everyone..
Haha damn, the standard hit markers clearly weren't enough so they've integrated big-ass yellow arrows to complement the orgy of bars and pachinko numbers. Add some strong white outlines and it's perfect
I suppose it will be possible to turn some of those visual abominations off, still, it's evident that immersion wasn't quite the focus here and overall, the game follows the same nuObsidian ̶3̶.̶0̶ 0.3 Fisher-Price-y direction as TOW. Will isodemo out of curiosity, but naturally expectations are rather low.
