I think both Nolan and Cameron are too polite to mistreat a village simpleton. If you don't handle him right and encourage him with a small talk from time to time, he'd become depressed or aggressive and eventually misbehave this way or another.

REBEL MOON — THE DIRECTOR’S CUT premieres on Netflix August 2, 2024.
Delve further into the mythology and madness of Zack Snyder’s epic sci-fi saga in the viciously sexier, bloodier world of REBEL MOON - CHAPTER ONE: CHALICE OF BLOOD and REBEL MOON – CHAPTER TWO: CURSE OF FORGIVENESS.

dunno about the pg13 version but watched the directors cut of the first movie and thought it was okish, not enough to like it much but not enough to turn it off either, has some cool things, scifi violence, grittiness, the ships, score, some nice looking scenes that it does look epic sometimes, but not one liking character, some bad acting and a story that was done before but not really good here
I liked DC version better than the first one.
Slightly more logic to it, character development, more gore, 2 tits flashing scenes.
But still there are too many inconsistencies, dropped and/or underdeveloped plot lines, and of course typical Snyder's overindulgence with slow-mo, shallow focus and faded colors.
As some viewers said, with the right editing there's a good and stylish 7.5/10 version of this miniseries.
Yes I see these 6 hours as a miniseries, not as two movies.
watched part 2 dc also and while first half is boring the next half is non stop action, probably a bit better than the first movie but still his worst movies so far and not enough to want more from this, just end it and move on
apperently that rpg game snyder announced some time ago was canceled, netflix even sued the developer and no news from the army of the dead sequel thats probably also dead
