I hope that's his missus, last thing we need is more incentives to men (kids really, let's not beat around the bush here) wearing dresses nowadays
I swear to God, if they make it something lame like him in the suit or his wife, and not the actual 3010 Lady Deadpool I will find out Ryan's address and personally punch him in the dick.
He's already (well him and/or marvel not sure which) axed dogpool, headpool, and 1610 Deadpool (Ultimate Universe Deadpool).
If they nix another option to go with either a non-canon cop out of it's his wife for the movie 'feels', or the cheap gag of its him...Ryan has jumped the shark and milked the Deadpool train dry.
That's what I was thinking. Maybe even a double gag. She removes the mask and it's Lively without the skin condition DP suffers from. He wonders how it's possible, and she removes her Mission Impossible style face mask and wig to reveal Ryan Reynolds.
I doubt they'd go that far.
"I think Call of Duty resonates because it's believable and relatable," Sledgehammer Games cofounder Michael Condrey says.
Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty
Following the reactions yesterday, the professional critics reviews are now in and with 85 reviews counted, Marvel Studios’ “Deadpool and Wolverine” sits at 82% (7.2/10) on Rotten Tomatoes.
That puts it on par with last year’s “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” and the first “Ant-Man” film – in other words mid-tier Marvel. Compared to its own franchise though, it’s nearly on par with the 85% (7.1/10) of the first “Deadpool” and the 84% (7.1/10) of the second.
Over on Metacritic the film sits at a far more mixed 54/100 which is considerably behind the 65/100 and 66/100 of the first two “Deadpool” films.
Since it is now part of the MCU, I worry 1/2 the movie is going to be used to waste screen time and setup future movies, tie ins, and dump exposition about how this and that tie in so they can continue the MCU milk train.
Deadpool is Deadpool, he has TONS of cross overs in the comics but he doesn't need long compilated back story of how he got there, or why he came or if its important or not. He just kinda shows up.
We dont need a 1000 cameos or shoe horned in scenes of other characters from MCU wasting this movies time as a setup, to churn out more movies that do the same thing.
Do they only have movie licensing rights for one song?
It's the same one in every trailer.
I'm guessing they have two, and need to keep the other 80's ballad song for Ryan's ubiquitous "dazed/dazzled/knocked goofy" blurry slomo scene he puts in every movie he does.

What is funny is that they only licensed the Madonna song for the movie and not the soundtrack as I was looking over the artist list for the soundtrack and saw Nsync and the others, just not Like a Prayer.
Ryan Reynolds said they had to go talk to Madonna in person and show her the scene where the song would play and she gave them notes on the scene and they actually liked her ideas on the changes and did it.
Just got back from the movie - hoooooly shit, they really had to outdo the 2nd one
One observation I had - I'd never experienced such silence when walking out of the cinema room. Barely anyone was talking. No one knew what to say
Such a dumb, ridiculous, over-the-top movie... The close-to-40-year-old kid in me loved it
Went and saw it last night.
5/10
But I think I will keep my opinions of why since I seem to be the outlier on opinion of it here
But will say:
[Story Ploy meeting]
- Disney sir, How many future movie tie in references do you want?
- Yes
- How much of the movie time should be spent on it?
- ..Yes
If I could have fast forwarded the first 30 minutes of the movie in the theater I would have. Too much 'we need to dump MCU exposition in'.
What I can give props for that got it the 5/10:
[spoilers]
Spoiler:
- Seeing all the parallel world Deadpools, was cool. They really missed out on some good ones for spotlights but forgivable.
- Wolvys mask wasnt as bad as I thought they would make it in live action. Seemed a little phoned in for onscreen looks but was a nice nod.
-Putting in some more obscure Marvel characters was nice. Disappointed Tan/Brown Wolvy didnt have jubilee with him. That was the team for a long while when he had that suit solo.
