Even easier since we don't use video chat, just voice. I've laid in bed with headphones on more times than I can count.
Our company WAY under promises and over delivers. What they quote as 15 day install most here can do in 10 days, I made py scripts/poweshells/bat to help to do it in 4-5. But Boss THINKS it takes me 10 like everyone else. I'd say in a given week I do a solid 15 hours of actual work
And not because I avoid work, just no work left to do.
Edit: Well my bosses boss thinks that. My direct Boss (the only one we have over all engineers) Dont care, long as I get it done in time, what I do with the rest he is IDGAF.

Okay, now that is really interesting. I'm trying to get into understanding python/powershell for automation. Do you have any advice?
Mines pretty limited to what I need to know for our stuff.
Mostly just installer scripts to automate installing services our software uses, registering DLLs, calling bat files, checking OS to know if it needs to install any .net or MS packages: if so run them from the _install folder, checking to see if a D drive exists, if not install our software on C and set registry to the correct drive path, see if our software already exists (check for folder) if so run update.bat vs install.bat in CMD as admin.
Basic stuff like that, that most the engineers here do by hand.
It is a prime example of some programmer's creed: Spending 5 hour to automate 2 hours of work. ..lol
I'd say on a scale of 1 to 10 on py and powershell power user, I'm a 3. I know enough from google-fu and stack exchange to make it do the things I need it to

@DX: That's still pretty good in the end. You spend that time initially to save time later on. That's a win in my book . Where would you suggest I begin as a starting point?
Yeah, but it’s Australia, what can the police do there anyway? If it was the US, they would have shot his sissy ass, his witch momma, then turned on the recording lady and shot her too for filming the cops.
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.
