The controls and fighting was better on PS2.. :\
And the graphics looked better too on PS2.
And it's laggy sometimes on PC.. that didn't happend on PS2..
I hate you.

People are too obsessed with GFX, maybe some of you should start concentrating on gameplay and GFX as a bonus?

first you gotta get rid of the "guards" of the rival family around the shop, you'll notice them by there suit color.
then you can go inside and extort 'em.
a question i got is, can you change your clothes ingame? because in the beginnin, when you're creating a mobster there are all these clothes you can't buy, now i got the money but don't know if you can get the clothes ingame

Anyone know what to do in the backalley where that guy saves your ass? Just after the cutscene at the wedding.. It's like the first thing you do after you modified your appearance.
I'm stuck! All I do is beat the shit out of that guy. What do I have to do?

sure, i'm not that far, but up to now i got the scene were don corleone gets shot, the one in the hospital with michael, and, but i'm not sure if it was in the movie, when paulie gatto gets whacked.
btw, is that a pic of Christopher Moltisanti you got there as your avatar? my screen's kinda f*cked up, can't see it properly

Damn good game... best I've played for a while .. might just go out and buy it now.. just to support the game makers for bringing sump new from the regular war shit..

i finally found out how to change clothes!
in the main menu, at the load game screen, there's "edit" and there you can change your mobsters appearance (sp?)

reinstall godfather and dont use nogrp cracks , this crack is fucked :/

I think the game is ok, it's somewhat fun. Still just in the beginning of the game, but I've been through most of what is possible throughout the game.
It's no Mafia for sure, it's a dumbed down version of Mafia, with a big slice of GTA. As said before, the cars are weird, but it works. The shooting and fighting are ok too.
The stories are good I guess, and if you like mafia in general you'll somewhat like this game, if you just ignore the flaws of this game.
From a scale to 10, I'd probably rate this as a 6. It has it's ups and down, but I think they should have put in better graphics and have less useless people in the streets.
One other thing they should have done, is have those stupid people NOT just walk out in the street and not react to your horn as you try to get them to move. I've hit several people just because they walk out into the street.

i tried the game, its a pleasant but dumbed down version of gta.
unfortunately ive got sound crackling problems..but do you know what? i cant find the damn sound options anywhere!! does anyone know where i can change them?

If u open with notepad the file *.scr into frontend_pc\text dir, u'll find game text in different languages but i can't find a way to use it, also by modify the windows registry

To get out of a car I usually hit the space button.
I just played a few hours and I must say that the developers quite impressed me.
Obviously (if I'm not totally wrong) the game has a depth and much secrets to explore. The gfx are not state of the art, but they are allrgiht. The interaction/controls are a bit messed up, but it's playable (and you get used to it, too). The mouse speed in the menu is insane (and you can't change it). Voice acting, lip synch and character movements were done well.
There are way too much pedestrians on the streets.
So, as you can see, the game is not excellent (as Mafia was and still is).
And, you see, there we have the reason why most people would enjoy paying EA a visit and just burn their houses down. Almost everytime they screw it up. It's a shame. Why didn't they give the game even one more year of development?
