There are VERY few people that admire and recognize a beautiful, well crafted UI/UX.
With the latest (years) emphasis on code, functionality, efficiency and LESS soul, passion, heart, the artist's or designer's job and importance have been massively minimized.
And the whole fucking flat design trend made things worse. Now every developer / programmer can slap a rectangle shape on the monitor and call it UI...
Just take a look at how fucking ugly and soulless the UI's have been in games in the latest years!
The UI is great in ER, and all the souls games. It should be a little rough and dirty, like the whole game is. Everything in their games is about maintaining that overall aesthetic and feel that is so unique to their games.
What a joke. They put out pure diarrhea games, and try to knock Fromsoft stuff. Just a bunch of salt.
I think they should've just kept their mouths fucking shut esp about quest design. Sure UI/UX is a matter of taste, but Quests in their games are literally this:
1. Brain dead push stick forward to OBJ Marker on screen
2. Listen to some NPC gaslighting you for your moral inferiority and their perfect can do no wrong self.
3. Press X a few times
4. You get 0.02 XP & 0.1 Credit BUY BOOSTER PACK AT STORE BUY RESOURCE PACK AT STORE BUY SKINS AT STORE
I'm not even a souls games enjoyer but at least they are games and not cancer
Yup also you actually spend most of your time actually playing the damned thing instead of listening/watching tedious bullshit cinematics every five minutes
Elden Ring was made to be one of the most challenging games ever – that much is glaringly obvious. It fits into that niche remarkably well and is arguably the most important game in the category, overpowering the likes of Dark Souls, Sekiro, and perhaps even Bloodborne. However, that fact doesn’t sit well with everyone, and one player in particular has taken that notion farther than anyone else, announcing that they’re seeking legal action against FromSoftware, Elden Ring’s developer.
Why are they suing the legendary game creator?
Because Elden Ring is too hard.

yeah, the design is that it has a built in difficulty setting, but not as a instant setting... It can be as easy or as hard as you want. If you want it to be really easy it will demand reading up + some grinding, if you want it to be really hard, figure out all the stuff yourself + don't do any extra grinding.
Elden Ring is absolutely not one of the most challenging games ever.
Bloodborne and Sekiro are much more difficult than Elden Ring.
The Surge 1 and 2 are also more difficult.
And even beyond souls-likes, there are plenty of games more difficult.
Ehh assuming you are not using mimic tear, Elden ring is far more challenging than BB or Sekiro.
