I don't remember half of the names, either, but I don't give a fuck. Whoever's important I will remember, and the ones I don't are probably gonna die, anyway.
Rhys (i.e. Otto) is clearly the highlight of the show now that Paddy is gone. The rest of the cast is so-so. The cunt king is annoying af.
One thing that really stands out, though, is photography. It's fucking awesome, there are some amazing shots, like the scene is 2x01 when they were trodding through the dark castle at night, torches in hand.

I think the cast is pretty amazing overall. the king is a cunt and is supposed to be annoying, as long as its not the acting you are annoyed by ofc. i think he does a good job, though not as great as Joffrey in GoT, but that performance was a stand out if anything.

No they aren't. They just thought it would be cool in GoT, it's not in the books. Dany was supposed to survive fire once through some incredible miracle, but in the show they did her fireproof at least twice.

...but GoT it ain't. There's really not too many great characters here that makes you feel super invested in the show. GoT was one of those shows were you had at least 20 characters that you either cared about or just thought was cool to see again. I can name maybe 2-3 here, if even that I still enjoy the show, but GoT was one of those shows that happens once every 10th year or so..
While I understand your point, even if it's the same franchise, comparing different series with different actors/characters is a folly. Just enjoy it for what it is. Or don't. Comparison can only lead to disappointment.
aesthetics and action wise in got in the later seasons it was top notch, especially when miguel sapochnik came on board, he delivered the best episodes of that show
and he brought that to the first season of hotd, i think this season so far is good but not better than first season.
this ep 4 while action was great, i think sapochnik would have made it even better
pacing and action is on a whole other level in GoT. And of course, casting.
I can really recommend a rewatch if you didn't watch it since release. Really worth it, i liked it just as much, some stuff gets better because you know the characters better and you know what's ahead and how / what /why they're plotting etc. Of course, some giant surprises are lost...

In the books not only Dany not immune to fire, even dragons are not completely immune to fire, they do have some high resistance though.
The books implied Targaryens WHILE are magic bound to living dragons tend to have some resistneces to diseases, but its vague.

was basically cuz she basically(accidentally?) did some sort of sacrifice ceremony which she sacrificed a witch to resurrected and hatched dragons eggs, and linked herself to them(with her Targaryens blood also),
the TV show changed it to fire immune probably to make her more unique.
so far this season is a letdown compared to first one, it moves too slow and the dialogue isnt good enough to keep it interesting. its been hyped for war but half the season was spent trying to avoid it...started great then nothing, then few minutes of great dragon fight then nothing again, and only 3 ep left to go.
this year had all of the big shows return, yet shogun still the best thing so far, unless rings of power s2 is a masterpiece
