Episode 4 was at least a 9/10. Three previous episodes were kinda lackluster and slow, even pointless in some threads, but boy if we didn't get the perfect payback with this last one!

I watch this only for spectacular acting of Tony Starr and Karl Urban... and for violence. The Boys is for me a decline since season 1. Season 2 was particularly bad. The backstory for Boys and their purpose is really undercooked in the tv series and overall their beef with sups is muddy.
The best depiction of them was in Diabolical - Episode 3, "I'm your pusher". But that's because it was literally taken from the comic book.

I for one like where it's going, I was afraid after last season's finale that it was going to become too much about politics, but it's trending more towards violence and chaos, which is good for the kind of show this is.
Also, and especially after the ending scene of this episode, I'm glad they're not deviating too much from Butcher from the comics (apparently Garth Ennis, the creator of the comics, asked the showrunner to respect his vision of this one character).

Another filler episode... The entire sequence with the animals on V was completely pointless, just for 2 minutes of story progression at the very end.
The other pointless stuff with Frenchie's past is just plateau-ing. At least the substory with Hughie's parents is finally over (hopefully).
These 5 episodes could have easily been condensed into 2.
There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.
Truly gone fishing.

Every time Kimiko and Frenchie are on the screen I wanna skip forward
And it's not getting much better with anything that involves Mother's Milk or Hughie and his parents
Not helping that it stopped being easy to look at Annie's face either
Instead of leaning in on the parts of the show that make it good, they try to develop all characters, even if we don't give a shit about them, hell would make for a better story if they had allowed some of "the boys" to die by now
