I just listened to Luke Stephens on Star Wars Outlaws, he talked about how finished it felt and especially in comparison to STALKER 2, which he said felt it had years to go before finished, very rough supposedly
On the bright side, the game's on GOG too so there shouldn't be any problem with testing it out when the ̶1̶.̶0̶ ̶v̶e̶r̶s̶i̶o̶n̶ [Early Access] Lost (and Found) pre-ChornoAlpha will officially release in September.

Yup, I realistically expect to start playing it properly next year (the optimistic scenario) after the heavy patching and hopefully, some light modding as well. Heck, I just started playing Cyberpunk's main quest, patient bear remains (mostly) unfazed by the industry's incompetence

Oh well There's no shortage of good titles on my backlog either, to be entertained while waiting for this to be in a decent state . Come to attention from the top of the list: RDR2, Control, Death Stranding, System Shock Remake, and even the likes of Sekiro and Wolfenstein 2 The New Colossus.
There's Elden Ring too, but that one will have to wait till the price of the new DLC has plummeted
Sounds a bit retarded indeed, but i bet its not supposed to play like that (only going with audio cues).
If its that iffy why not give the testers god mode so they can check out graphics, level design and still do some shooting. it'll leave a better impression i bet.
i do think stalker would be kind of the worst game to play a demo of, that its just a difficult game to get in a 20 min sitting or whatever, surrounded by other people etc etc
Hmm. If they were confident and had a good product, they'd release their own gameplay video showing how it looks and plays. This all just sounds suspicious.
Yeah. We're less than 3 months out and so far they haven't shown any proper gameplay segments, it's so over cheeki breeki bros

Article written by some... one (a weird pose / face with long hair and with the OBLIGATORY 'they/them' nonsense, that NEVER(!) played a STALKER game before, but IT IS employed and apparently 'legitimate' to tell and teach us about videogames...
FFS!!!!
Men, we gotta build our own videogames 'journalism' platform!
It's a good, positive review though, and yet another one that confirms that the game is unforgiving and doesn't hand hold the player, just like the previous S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games we know and love.
It would've been nice if he had commented on the performance and stability aspect, which I think we can agree is what worries us the most about this new upcoming game.
IMO with everything the guy went through in this video, it seems clear to me that they'll also remake *at least* SoC in the near future using all these assets.

So STALKER 2 is following the precedent set by Shadow of Chernobyl that took years to patch, mod and fix to become fully playable. Sad news.
