The news came as part of this evening's State of Play, with Sony adding it will come with its Valhalla DLC included.
The upcoming PC port - which was rumoured to be in the pipeline prior to this evening's announcement - will join other former PlayStation console exclusives such as Days Gone, Horizon Forbidden West and Marvel's Spider-Man, which have all made the transition to an additional platform over recent years.

God of War Ragnarök is set to make its PC debut on 19th September.
The sequel was rather underwhelming. The writing is pretty good at start, reminiscent of the first game, but it gets diluted with pointless characters and a plot hat I didn't find very satisfying. The villains are cool though.
The gameplay is more of the same with plenty of completionist checklist style crap forced into the world. The game has dumbest puzzles and forgettable combat challenges, it was a snoozefest.
I reckon it all depends on the level of intrusiveness, it shouldn't be a buccaneerish problem on paper unless that extra step forces daft online-only constraints. All their games will have that requirement from now on, in preparation for the Sony PC Plus launcher

Honestly more of the same is kinda good enough for me i really enjoyed the first game.
I was so hyped about this when it was coming to PS5, then i played it and it was the most boring shit ever, every ledge and shit is also glowing so you cant miss anything, feels super retarded.

Meh, I would probably give it a pass anyway.
GoW plot was OK I guess, I was somehow invested in story.
But fighting was tedious and boring, and graphics.. console mostly corridor gaming was also somehow underwhelming for me.
Maybe after a huge discount...

Hey dont be so hard the little console eunuchs, they need time to aim their lil vibratin thumbstick.
Combat is mostly better in this one (more enemy variety and while you lose your fists/shield as a weapon, there's a pretty neat weapon you get later on) but still has the same annoying narrow FOV and constant colored lights flashing at you to let you know when you're about to be hit by a projectile that you can't see because of aforementioned narrow FOV.
No worries, I hear Sega is working on The Club 2: Electric Boogaloo, PSN exclusive this time, and it will have a service where you can milk keys for free.
Region lock plus PSN requirement? boy they really are after those sales aren't they
in before they start their own launcher.
There is only one reason imo sony doesnt care about money because they care about much more money.Force people to create psn and it will be much easier to make ppl just migrate to their own platform.
this game has the most horrendous backseating i've ever experienced, you literally have two companions yelling the solutions to every puzzle at you 5 seconds after discovering it. no way to toggle that shit off either had me so pissed the entire game
Thats because its not really meant to be puzzles. People need to think for puzzles and not figuring them out might make them quit.
No, these are just artificial game lenghteners.
The outrage is due to 1. making PSN mandatory of HD2 when it wasn't the case on game launch, with a lot of people losing access 2. straight-up preventing a majority of countries from purchasing or playing the affected games.
It's so great having individual launchers/accounts, other companies do it.. just accept it this time too, what gives ?
The logic, indeed ! Why aren't we cheering this master move ?
