Isn’t FIFA just international teams and their players? This being 2K and US centric, can’t wait for "FIFA" SOCCER 2K with focus on the amazing MLS.
If there given the chance to make a football game these 2k developers and the name owers don't allow the game to pan out like the fifa franchise over the years, i could be a classic, and i hope this is, there hasn't been a rival attempt like this wih a football game for a long time.

IMHO it's a decent package. You can ignore all the lootboxes and then there is still a decent football game left.

Last one I tried was FIFA 21. It's kinda fun to colllect a team. You don't have to spend money if you don't want to.
I suck at FIFA though so it's not for me , but i can see the appeal.
They shouldn't ask full price for this though cause all the microtransactions.
If we were still living in the 201Xs it would have been interesting to see an alternative approach to football despite the limited content and various Coliuto, Galfano and Zappa à la ISS Deluxe, but alas
On a related note, with little fanfare 2K have recently released a new Top Spin game made by..the Mafia 3 folks which features: mandatory online for single-player + Denuvo, aggressive microtransactions, lacklustre career, extremely dated visuals/models/animations that are inferior to Top Spin 4's from 2011, all available for €60+. Modern gaeming in its finest form men.
So FIFA ditched EA to change things up and they go to even worse?
Who can they turn to? Producing a sport game, even a mediocre one, is a colossal ordeal, and who is left these days with an idea how to do it? There are some specialized Sony-specific developers making a baseball game, Konamy producing absolute trash for more than a decade, EA and 2K. The writing was on the wall. Most likely, FIFA, in their infinite wisdom and greed, will see a lot less money from 2K than they ever did from EA.
