"They Wouldn't Want An African Assassin's Creed Either"
you can tell these people never played AC, they're just bitching and moaning because people can tell how lame and gay UBI soft has become.
The best AC (imo) is actually set in Africa, Egypt.
It's now also seems to be confirmed from UBI that both of the playable characters are gay.

Exactly, there's already an AC game set in Africa
Edit: seems she covered that in the article, which might be the most rage bait ridden thing I've had to displeasure of skimming through:
Quote:
The go-to gotcha for the 'set it in Africa' debate is the fact we've already had an Assassin's Creed in Africa, with Origins taking place in Egypt. It's an ineffective retort for two reasons. Firstly, there were no complaints about Bayek's skin colour or ethnic origin, thus proving the already-fake point that people would be fine with an African Assassin's Creed, and secondly, it's not typically what people mean. Yes, Egypt is geographically in Africa. But in the extreme north, and with its own legendary history, it feels like a very different biome than the jungles of Mozambique.
And still, it's nonsense. She doesn't get to pick and choose based on a biome.

what in the actual hell??
I really wish i had never read that, now i'm getting brain cancer.
edit:
The comment section for the trailer is so full of gold btw

Now now, we must compose ourselves and take this seriously. Ubisoft aren't doing it as apart of a hamfisted cause marketing strategy, they legitimately thought this was the best idea and it makes total sense for both the time period and the series in general.
nah, it'll probably suck the same as tsushima which i found to be the quintessential ubisoft game in that i couldn't pick it up again after getting to act 2 because of how tedious and boring it got
It's not that it doesn't look cool, it's that it'll be filled with the same 50 Ubisoft tropes and poorly written characters we've seen over and over
If the combat is super locked on and full of predefined animations like always, it's automatically worse than Ghost of Tsushima. They need to open that up instead of being a QTE-to-cinematic simulator. I know it's gamepad based and will never fully be like that, but at least aim more towards it.
Like always they're killing it with the graphics/environments, wow. The updated engine looks great.
I personally really dislike the graphics in GoT, its super repetitive and very minimalistic (like 2 types of grass for groundcover, that's all you'll get), it's not an environment that drives me to explore because i know it's gonna look all the same pretty much.
The Sin City filter is meh, no one is going to play it like that...
Wait, what do you mean? GoT also uses predefined animations.
Most games do to a degree, but AC locks you into them for much longer, just look at the new Yasuke video there ^^^
The long parry/block timings, other people not attacking you when animations are playing (it's nice they still line up and wait to die), and at 5:46 why is the AI slicing air? You can quite comfortably play GoT without having to get into a parry/QTE fest each time as there are many moves not tied to those systems (including ones for each specific stance, eg: lunge stabbing)
I don't know what GoT is like if you unlock all the things, but by default it has a great and fluid combat system. NPCs wouldn't wait around either, they'd smoke me all the time while I was in a fight with multiple other people (archers, those big guys with the exploding clubs, regular swords/polemen)
Avowed has big RPG competition this year in the shape of Dragon Age: The Veilguard and Assassin's Creed: Shadows.
Eurosocjus considers this an RPG now
The games has been action RPG's since Origins, maybe with a few exceptions. It's not like they play that differently from e.g Skyrim or even Witcher 3, which they've clearly been inspired by.
Seems pretty cool. I like that is seems to have a lot of destructible environments, decapitations, both should've been a standard since forever.. Good to have 2 characters which seems to play very differently too. I hope they've learned what people didn't like with Valhalla and liked with the two-three previous in the more RPG-like format.
Action adventure? Adventure would imply things like puzzles or really involving and deep quests/story, i'd argue they have neither. The focus is combat and it has some light RPG elements, they're open world action RPGs.
I have eye, brain and colon cancers just from thinking about the nonsense there. Weren’t they supposed to write 23098420934 “guides” every week? Why are they still around typing this nonsense?
That tweet generated emotions, that…the first thing I wanted to do was go back on X—that I had deleted—and just tweet back,” he told Game File. “And I just took a step back. I have a mindfulness app on my phone. And I did a bit of mindfulness to try to explore the emotions that this tweet created.
Mindfulness app over a tweet
What a colossal faggot
To clarify, I have no problem with the guy's reaction but why would you expose that to the world? Discuss that privately with a friend, no problem with that. No no the whole world needs to know this about me me ME
