started watching dragon ball original from the 80ties, that shit is on a whole other level, adult humor for kids, the perv stuff, the drawing of naked goku , it was a different time, better, who can tell, its eye opening difference compared to the boiled down crap kids get now

There were less political correctness and SJWs back then.

Man, even mangas like Berserk that really didn't give a shit back then with its nudity and violence become relatively softer in the last volumes.

It's still violent and gory, but really not the level of the black swordsman and lost children arcs.

Uhm, why tho? The animations look pretty similar in quality and style to the original Code: Geass show. Oh well, perhaps it's paced differently etc.

Different timeline (Lelouch dead in original show and alive in new timeline). The 3 compilation films had a mix and also made changes to the show. The original show had 2D mecha battles but the new film (Re:surrection) went with 3D.

Oh, quite a lot of changes then. I liked Code Geass so I'll probably check this out once it's available.

Why is Demon Slayer so high rated?

I have tried watching it a bunch of times now but cant seem to get the hang of it.

It's very shallow, I dont know how to even put it in words, it feels like some "feel good" anime, all the thinking the main character does in fights "yes I can do this" "oh no I'm so hurt but I must go on" every fight it feels like is just eh, yikes, feels so forced.
And then the whole "bad guy of the day" theme seems to repeat first season atleast.

Does it get any better as it goes on?

But it feels like way more shallow than anything else I have watched so far, compare to FMA or HXH or JJK or AOT, it's hyped up almost as much as any of those but its so dull compared to any of those, atleast upto the point I have managed to watch so far (10ish episodes).

Heck it even makes One Piece look entertaining with the drawn out fights and all other bs.

I get your point, but at the same time those you mention are of another genre. The naruto, bleech, one piece style has stayed the same.

Great anime, i never finished the anime but did finish the manga, it has a certain feeling all around.

Dont know if folks here read manga but for Adult Sci Fi i can mention Eden: It's an Endless World a very mature and great sci fi

Can recommend Delicious in Dungeon 10/10
Dead Dead Demons Dededede Destruction the manga was amazing, dont know how the anime is doing but the story is top notch

This anime is crazy. It has the deceptive look of some light hearted nonsense, but ohh boy. The quality is also astounding. You seriously do yourself a disfavor if you don't check it out. At episode 11 you'll... yikes
