More bitching

 Spoiler:

I should absolutely avoid getting these fingers in contact with water.
And belief me it has looked worse, like bloody and such.
Good thing I wipe with my left hand, you probably didn't need to hear that.

Sad

I have some medical ointment: Clobetasol propionate
Info for the medical professionals among us.
This salve should only be used short term. That short term ended many months ago.

Just visit a doctor as soon as you can.

For the short term

Avoid water and more important don't use soap. You should also avoid soap while showering, showers shorter etc.

The clobetasol is kinda strong and a weird choice, it's not something a GP should give you, but there is little harm in trying it. You could try it 2-3 days once a day to see if it gets beter if you have nothing else though and can't visit a doctor. If it gets worse stop it asap.

It's better, not great. I need to avoid getting my hands in contact with water as much as possible. Then again, sometimes a guy needs to wash his hands or take a shower. I use a trick for the shower, I apply a thick layer of vaseline to the hands and fingers unless I need to wash my hair.

I think the cause of this bad skin condition, was the pandemic. Too often usage of an alcoholic tincture, or washing the hands with an aggressive soap.

Thanks, for asking.

Random body part sounds more interesting. Which will it be?

Sounds about right. During the pandemic, owing to my paranoias I used plenty of solutions containing chlorhexidine and alcohol to disinfect my hands. I did develope some skin irritations on my hands.

I was prescribed Betamethazone (as valerate) 0.1 % ointment to treat them symptomatically.
Since my paranoias, unlke the pandemic, are still here with me, I use alcohol 70%-75% based + glicerin + vitamins gels for hands disinfection now. It's less detrimental to the skin.

It's not like I was very afraid of getting infected, during the lockdowns (I already received my own sickness time) every store wanted me to clean my hands with some alcoholic desinfectment from a dispenser. This dried the skin up. And at home I had a soap dispenser with aggressive soap. I have replaced that with some mild soap, this stuff (and no I am not reselling):

https://www.trekpleister.nl/unicura-balance-handzeep/p/2454565
zeep = soap

Edit: More on topic, the skin condition is not eczema.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atopic_dermatitis

Edit2: Undid autocorrect typo.

Basically I developped an allergy against water, especially my fingers on the right hand. Laughing
Base substances are mostly solved in water, like baby soap.

The most dangerous one is NaOH potentially:

Might be allergic to something in them. They are made to be hypoallergenic, but that just means a product is less likely to cause an allergic reaction in most people.

My son has an issue kinda like that with a specific brand of laundry detergent. Not as bad as you, but gets itchy, red and a raised rash on his skin if we use it.

One of the chemical properties of bases, it dissolves organic compounds.
Use chlorine though for cleaning up dna material at a murder scene. Wink

@Lopin18 Use gloves when you get into contact with water.
Exceptions: showering and washing your hands after a number 2.

It doubt its water itself, since it only happens with products. Otherwise he would get it when showering, or anything else that involves water.
it's something else in the childsafe products I suspect.

Urination process is sex dependant, but even cockful subjects can do it without touching one's penis. (difficult but feasible Smile )

Defecation logistics doesn't necessarily mean you touch the chocolate bits with your bare hands, especially if some kind of bidet is involved.

So be it number 1 or number 2 there shouldn't be any discrimination based on that Laughing

Could also be stress, supposedly stress causes it too, but damn it only happens with the baby soap i think the stressful part is the baby not washing her bottles Laughing
