Late Night with the Devil - 7/10
I was expecting a bit more at the end, but the 70s esthetics and atmosphere were well done.

Quiz Show 8.5/10
Pretty much a classic.

The Big Lebowski 9.5/10
Every single scene and line of dialog is on point and nails it. Extremely quotable and hilarious and it gets funnier with every rewatch. Stellar cast too, but John Goodman is really in his element here Very Happy Along with Fargo, probably my favorite Coen brothers movie.

Miller's Crossing 8.5/10
More of a serious Coens movie, not much if any humor in this, but very good gangster movie.

Raising Arizona 7.5/10
Signature Coens; goofy characters, silly humor at times, but top cast/acting and dialogs.

O Brother, Where Art Thou 7.5/10
Not their best, but the music saves it. And George Clooney.

Ghostbusters (1984) 7.5/10

Tintin et le lac aux requins (1972) 8.5/10. This was much better than the TV series which i've been watching recently. In the TV series they make sure to spend time with every little slap stick shit which is like 50+ years outdated. Here its more tuned down. It's more beautiful too because the backdrops are painted instead of drawn.

Samaritan (2022) - 6/10 Sly was OK. The whole movie was quite ’innocent’ where eved the bad guys aren’t that bad.Smile

12 Strong (2018). - 6/10 It was watchable but felt a bit too rushed. These stories work much better as TV shows.

Arcadian - 4.5/10
Cool monster, well kinda... But script was weak, pretty basic and boring.

Roadhouse: 7/10, meh I thought it was pretty entertaining. A clear 80's remake, doesn't take itself seriously and it's well shot.

Gozilla Minus One: 8/10, Wow! Finally, a very good Godzilla movie. This japanese version so much better than any Hollywood garbage that was released in decades. The translation to english was fantastic! Even an amazing story!! Godzilla looked scary as fook! Well done! Highly recommended

Abigail

Well that was a pleasant surprise. Great horror comedy. The actress playing Abigail was a joy to watch. Pure awesome chewing the scenery.

I give it almost 8/10 due to some fallacy in the script but it's popcorn flick. Recommend.

Close Encounters of the Third Kind: 7.5/10. Ending was best.
The Equalizer: 7/10. Good.
The Equalizer 2: 4.5/10. Boring and very predictable.
The Equalizer 3: 6/10. Better than 2, at least it had some story.
Miller's Crossing: 8/10. Good one, some bits were a bit weak.
Paddington: 8/10. Fun to watch and looked good.
Paddington 2: 7.5/10. Very good sequel, wished it had some more weird bear things like the first.
Raging Bull: 8/10. Could've done with a bit more boxing, and a pity it was shot in black and white.
Quiz Show: 8.5/10. Nice movie, well done.
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest: 9/10. What an ending.

Godzilla Minus One 8/10
By far the best Godzilla, great fun. It did look a bit goofy in certain scenes, with the way it walks and all, but it's part of the charm. The overacting drama and constant shouting got on my nerves several times though Laughing

The Inventor 6.5/10
Stop motion/animated movie Da Vinci. The cast was what made me watch it (Stephen Fry, Matt Berry, Daisy Ridley, Marion Cotillard). It's not bad, especially appreciate the research and historical accuracy (like the Mona Lisa in its original colors instead of the dirty version we know from the Louvre). The anti-clerical/religious message is always a plus in my book too (it ain't subtle either). The music and songs are horrible though Laughing

Ghostbusters Frozen Empire 6/10
I expected worse. I've forgotten most of the plot already. There's a lesbian ghost.

Abigail 7/10
Reminded me a bit of Ready or Not. Not as good, but still a bloody entertaining ride.

Some tv-shows:
1883 9/10
Excellent gritty western mini-series with Sam Elliott about a group of pioneers following the Oregon trail.

1923 7.5/10
The sequel to 1883, with Harrison Ford this time. Not nearly as good, though, and very predictable. The Africa plotline feels like something that came straight out of a pulp romance book. Also not a mini-series but ends with a cliffhanger and a sequel planned, which made me lose interest even more.

Shardlake 8.5/10
Apart from the bait and switch with Sean Bean (he has exactly 2 scenes, in the beginning of the first and last episode Laughing ), it's a very good murder mystery set in a large abbey. If you like The Name of the Rose and Pentiment, you'll like this.

There's something about Matt Berry's voice, accent and especially delivery that makes everything he says very funny.

I love Matt Berry, even if he always play Matt Berry. He certainly knows he always plays over the top characters and parodies hislines delivery in Toast of London.

I saw him in one show (the vampire one, I forget its name), and then it was like he was in every second show I watched after that. Same voice, smugness and character every time. Can't stand him.

I didn't think he was bad at first, but as VonMisk says, 'he always plays Matt Berry'. Just tired of seeing and hearing him do the same character across every show he's in, most recently Curb and Fallout

There are more famous actors than him that always plays the same role. Martin Freeman for example, he's always just Martin Freeman and his acting is 100% in his eyebrows (surprised look, more surprised look) he roleplays "surprised" almost as good as Asmon Gold i would say Laughing

The Equalizer 3 six ixi / 10 - It was an OK movie thanks to Denzel. CIA was cheeky and had there be some other actor but Denzel this would be much worse movie.
