"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."
Very disappointing, perhaps the best episodes were with captain Pike (from the later ST: Strange New Worlds). Especially the writing of season 4 was abhorrent.
A long time ago, but I remember liking Robert Carlyle and the other captain guy. They were both assholes with different angles on leadership and survival being both right and wrong at the same time. Don't remember anyone else.
Having seen all trek up this - this show and Picard killed my interest in StarTrek.
My wife streamed I don't know if watched all seasons of this shit. It just become more and more gibberish every solution was some magic science mumbo jumbo. Unwatchable, unhearable.

Discovery is easily the worst Trek series of all times. Bad characters, dumb plots, needless revisiting and retconning of the older Trek material, etc. etc. Yes, Star Trek has always been progressive but the Discovery version of progressive was just too in your face current feminism BS.
