I usually run the other direction with souls games. I'm sure it's a lot of fun for others to figure out how to beat a boss after a million deaths but I just ain't into that.

Tired the demo, and souls like mechanics are still not for me. I still don't get what people see in those types of games.
And maybe it is me, but movement and controls seemed strange like there is an input lag of sorts. Don't know exactly what it was but it didn't feel right and was frustrating when you miss prefect parry or dodge because of that.
There are only 2 difficulty modes, story and normal. If there is something in between, or some other fine tune difficulty settings, I would consider the purchase.
I enjoyed the demo. I wish there was a bit more exploration even though there's certainly some. Combat felt good and there seems to be more to it than most soulslikes, even though the actual difficulty is more forgiving.
Luckily my SO has a PS5 so I can hopefully play it on the 26th. She can roll her eyes all she wants.
