It could have been a solid traditional shooter, but alas. The devs really wanted to artificially elongate the playing time up to 30-40 hours in order to keep people engaged, so there you have the rinse & roguepew loop with extraction mechanics and extra-slow arr pee jeez-like progression, welcome to Grindfire.
ouffff, that looked boring. i'm so spoiled with Prodeus now, it's just so satisfying to kill enemies in that game, i mean if you don't do that part well in a game where it's about killing off enemies again and again, then it just won't be that good imo because you will spend so much time looking at it, doing it. Prodeus both has super satisfying sound + blood and splatter/dismemberment effects, and it doesn't get old, it always feel rewarding. FO3 is another game that does this just superbly even though it's not a FPS mainly.
From the early reveal trailers this had so much potential to be an awesome game - yet they turned it into this fucking trash. Such a shame.

Really difficult, rage-quit inducing game, ha ha. I like the dark fantasy atmosphere and little details (like the different mushrooms), what I don't like are the fucking teleporting enemies. You see 5 enemies in the compass, and suddenly you´re ambush by 10 teleporting enemies around you. Some weapons are a joke, like that stupid Cricket "Hand Cannon", I do more damage spitting to the enemies, lol. I hate that whispering green explosive mushroom-thing... and the Warden, and the fucking Wisp.
I'm empty of healing potions, and I can't brew more, where I can find more flowers? In the chests? (Edit: Oh I see, is a hard to find plant)
Oh I would love a Hexen-like game with this graphics.
