Please change to:

Code:
font-family: helvetica, tahoma, verdana, sans-serif;

Windows users will be unaffected, while Mac users will get a much better font. Wink

Thanks in advance

Well, Linux doesn't have Helvetica by default. But Liberation Sans and DejaVu Sans are nice Linux fonts. So they should be added to the font stack as well.

Great, thanks mrt!

However, it seems not all pages & elements are affected... Sad For example, the reply text box is not, neither is the forum list.

The only thing that changed for me is the nickname above the avatar.

EDIT: noticed it in more places.

I kinda prefer the old style to be honest.

Wait, why did it change on Windows? Confused Windows does not have Helvetica, so it should fallback to Tahoma.

Verdana,
"DejaVu Sans",

Can we try this? Windows should still fall back to Tahoma.

Yes, but why did it take in Windows? Lowercase "H"?

And why does every element has "font-family" property? Why not one on top, since all have the same font?

Has nothing to do with macs, something is wrong in the CSS.

Nope. For example, on this page, all quotes still use "tahoma, verdana, helvetica". Every element has its own font-family - and they are all the same.

Reverted.

If anyone can come up with a way to switch css's on mac's without using any playful javascript let me know. A quick google let me nowhere fast. IE has a nice HTML comment thing but only for IE versions not OSs.

For some reason, Chrome substitutes Helvetica with Arial even when Helvetica is not installed Shocked

Tried on Chrome 16.0.912.63 m on Windows 7 64.

This will work even lowercase version.

Leo, you could play with fonts via WebKit Dev Tools which are bundled with Chrome. Load humps page --> right click --> Inspect element --> Select <body> element and proceed to changing fonts by editing body CSS properties.

Changes will be happening live.
