most boring show ive seen in years ... trying to be all fancy but doesnt have a single likeable character ...
should have been a 2.5 hour movie tops , what a total waste of money, sure them fly boys had it rough, but we already seen battle of britain n much better air movies
how the hell they gonna do a second+ season at this pace ??? the korean/vietnamcold war ? lol
It's ok, not as engaging as BoB. But man some shitty low budget CGI here.
Indeed. Jensen could've helped them with RTX shadows. Too much blurriness and low detail textures. Other than that the show is OK. Nothing spectacular but OK.

well this is more in line with the pacific, which that one was also boring despite some nice trench warfare but at least shit was very nice done and was believable where this has shit cgi...how the fuck are we going backwards
Episode 4 was slow, and they skipped all the action wtf? I hope they didn't already run out of budget
But it was really funny to see Ben Segers, Flemish actor, appear as the main resistance fighter. He's played serious roles before but is more known for his comedy (in particular the original "What if", which won the international Emmy for best comedy). I was a bit upset when the Flemish girl spoke French, at the end of episode 3 Hate when they do that, but at least they made up for it here.
There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.
Truly gone fishing.
Pacific was nowhere near as good as Brothers. I guess it was too USA centric.
Brothers was also US focused. Just saw it a week or two ago and you barely see anything but americans... In Europe. I'd figure they'd fight alongside europeans occasionally but i guess french soldiers didn't care about france

Maybe. I haven’t watched it in many many years. I remember these were my thoughts after watching a few episodes of Pacific.

In BoB you also see british, french and dutch. Pacific is murricans vs japs all the way Maybe that's what LeoNatan meant.
Yeah this was bad. Terrible CGI and the switching between characters is even worse than in The Pacific. When the actual soldiers get named in the credits of the last episode, I couldn't remember half of them

After more than a decade with no less than three false starts and some resounding promises, instead of a captivating WWII masterwork we've ended up with something that could very well be encapsulated by the sad flute meme playing the star-spangled banner
Granted, no one really expected the series to be as utterly memorable as Band of Brothers because such perfect alchemy will never be replicated, but it still had the potential to match The Pacific's level or at the very least provide engrossing (and coherent) storytelling. Sadly there's little pathos to be found here, amplified by the awkward pacing and some extra-thin characterization because of the soldiers' disposable nature alongside the sparse writing. Add to that the shaky CGI for a production of this calibre and the uneven acting (with the duo Elvis & Dua Lipa's boyfriend that missed the mark in my opinion), and the recipe for averageness is served. I'd still classify the show as watchable since it does feature a few interesting scenes, but it could have been and *should* have been so much more..goddamnit.
Finally got around the the Mehs of the Air. What a disappointment this show, with so much wasted potential. There were some really cool air battles, but the CGI was such a let down, along with the almost non-existing story and character development. We've also had Stalag Luft III that looked like they were on fucking holiday
