I was thinking of getting this game, since I have never played it and I heard good things about the game. now it is an abandonware and I found it on: My Abandonware.com site, and my question to you guys, if any of you, downloaded it from this site and installed it on windows 10 without any problem (I mean the star force and DRM stuff that messes with windows 10 in some cases) ?

Not an answer to your question, but: if the game comes with starforce (abandonware my ass...) that can potentially screw up your OS, then why risk it in the first place...? There's literally thousands of other games to play instead.

Starforce, now thats a blast from the past. Was it Starforce that had the "unplug your cd-rom" workaround?

it was Starforce as far as I can recall.
@r3dshift, you are right, that is why I am asking, if anyone installed this game on modern system like win 10 or 11 without issue's, or even better: know for sure that one version or another is DRM starforce free.

Hi Pika!
I don't know about the specific version that you mentioned, but AbandonwareGames has the DRM-free zipped repack with the English files already included. I reinstalled the game about two years ago and everything worked fine out of the box (Win 10).
From the Readme:
Quote: | Q: This definitely doesn't have Starforce, right? I don't want to risk bricking my PC.
A: The game's executable + dlls were replaced with files taken from the Ukrainian version, which is DRM-free. |
